▲ Fox Village In recent years, the fox village has become the most popular attraction in Miyagi! Raised in a free-range environment, it houses approximately 100 wild foxes, including the familiar Hokkaido foxes and rarer species. Here, you can observe the foxes up close and even have exclusive experiences like feeding and holding them! Watching these fluffy little foxes is a true treat in the cold winter! Because of the free-range method, the foxes retain their wild nature; visitors must abide by all park rules to avoid harming themselves or the foxes!

▲Ginzan Onsen Located in Yamagata Prefecture, bordering Miyagi Prefecture, Ginzan Onsen lies along the Ginzan River valley. The clear, steaming waters of the Ginzan River flow through the area, where rows of wooden inns create a tranquil atmosphere, like a secluded paradise. Legend has it that silver mines were discovered here over 500 years ago, hence the name "Ginzan" (Silver Mountain). Ginzan prospered due to silver mining but declined as the mines dwindled. It wasn't until the early Showa era, when hot springs were discovered, that Ginzan gained widespread fame for its hot springs, attracting a steady stream of tourists to this day. The classic Japanese drama "Oshin" was filmed here, and the bathhouse in Hayao Miyazaki's famous film "Spirited Away" is said to have been inspired by Ginzan Onsen. Stepping into Ginzan Onsen always evokes a romantic illusion of traveling back to the Taisho era.

Option A: Fox Village & Yinshan Hot Spring Day Trip

This tour requires a minimum of 4 people to depart. Departure is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Fox Village is closed on Wednesdays.

Meet at 09:00 at the East Exit of JR Sendai Station and depart.

10:00-11:00 Free time at Fox Village (Entrance fee not included / Adults JPY1500, payable on-site)

15:30-17:00 Free time at Yinshan Hot Spring

Disband at JR Sendai Station at 19:00.

* This tour is entirely free time, but please be mindful of your personal safety.

* Please arrive at the meeting point no later than 10 minutes before departure time.

【Regarding the Fox Village】

* To ensure the best experience for every visitor, please adhere to the following safety rules for the Fox Village:

• The Fox Village is closed every Wednesday. A fox cub activity is held at 11:00 AM, subject to adjustment based on the foxes' health that day. If there is no fox cub activity on a given day, no refund will be provided. Thank you for your understanding.

• Do not touch the foxes in the free-roaming area and always stay on designated paths.

• Avoid wearing flowing skirts, wide-legged pants, clothing with dangling ornaments, earrings, etc., as these may attract the foxes' attention and cause them to approach, potentially leading to a bite.

Because foxes are very curious and particularly interested in children, children under three years old must be held at all times in the free-roaming area and kept within sight. Children under five years old are prohibited from feeding the foxes.

【Regarding Ginzan Onsen】

╴ During peak season, visitors to the Ginzan Onsen area must take a paid shuttle bus (except for hotel guests). The shuttle bus fee is included (500 yen/person).

╴ Upon arrival at Ginzan Onsen, you may choose to soak your feet in the foot bath; please bring your own towel.

Winter in Ginzan Onsen lasts from mid-December to March, with the heaviest snowfall from early January to mid-February. Temperatures are -5 degrees Celsius.

╴ Since strolling through the Ginzan Onsen area is typically in the evening and will continue until late, and the nights are very cold, it is recommended to bring plenty of hand warmers to place inside gloves, on your body, and in your shoes. ╴ It's especially cold in the mornings and evenings, so please wear a warm down jacket, thick socks, a scarf/neck warmer, a hat, and gloves to keep warm.

╴ Roads are icy and slippery, so snow boots or waterproof, non-slip shoes are strongly recommended.

╴ Please carry a portable power bank charger, as phone battery life is typically shortened below freezing, leading to faster battery drain.

╴ The trip may be delayed due to traffic jams or bad weather. Return time will depend on traffic conditions on the day; we apologize for any inaccuracies.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 6th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the start date of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A full refund may be offered, or the participant may choose to reschedule the event.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
