Biwako Valley (Biwako Valley) Located at an altitude of 1174 meters, the ski resort offers panoramic views of Lake Biwa, Japan's largest lake. Take one of Japan's fastest and most advanced large-scale cable cars, which began operating in February 2008, and you'll reach the ski area in about 3.5 minutes. From the summit, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Biwa to the north and south. Every winter, many people come to experience winter sports here. There's a main ski area with stunning views of Lake Biwa while skiing, as well as forest trails, offering skiing fun for both beginners and experienced skiers.

Biwako Valley Ski Resort boasts nine runs with gradients ranging from 11 to 30 degrees, the longest reaching 1400 meters. It features Snow Land, a family-friendly snow park, and ski slopes offering stunning views of Lake Biwa from north to south. Enjoy expansive, single-run ski areas as if jumping right into Lake Biwa, and the "Horai Panoramic Ski Run," perfect for intermediate skiers.

Two restaurants are located next to the summit cable car station, allowing even those not skiing or playing in the snow to experience the breathtaking high-altitude views of Lake Biwa.

Travel Notes

- Skiing is a potentially dangerous activity; please prioritize your own safety and the safety of other visitors at the ski resort.

- It is recommended to purchase overseas accident insurance (optional).

- In the event of conflicts or injuries during free time at the ski resort, we cannot provide compensation. Please communicate and negotiate with the parties involved directly. If you miss the return bus, you are responsible for your own safety.

Please be aware of these special precautions before booking. Thank you.

- This is a self-guided tour; there will be no tour leader or guide. Written materials in Chinese will be sent to you.

- The final itinerary, etc., will be sent to you via email 7 days before departure. Please print it out and bring it with you, showing it to staff on the day of departure.

- Please arrive at the designated meeting point at the specified time for check-in and boarding.

- The bus will depart on time; latecomers will not be waited for. No refunds will be given for late arrivals.

- Round-trip tickets are required for the bus; one-way tickets are not available. Additionally, seating on the bus is reserved.

- If arrival at the ski resort is delayed due to weather, traffic, or other factors, the stay at the resort will be shortened, and no refund will be offered.

- Smoking is strictly prohibited on the bus. There are no restrooms on board.

- Children aged 0-2 years can participate for free. Please indicate this when making a reservation. Free children will not have seats; adults should hold them on their laps.

- Please wear lightweight, non-slip, and waterproof clothing and shoes, which can be rented on-site.

- Goggles, gloves, and hats are not available for rent; please bring your own or purchase them at the shops.

- For rented skis, you cannot choose the brand or model of skis (skis + boots + poles): Adults ¥6,000 / Children ¥4,500. The actual price will be determined on-site. - Ski clothing (jacket + trousers) is available for rent on-site: ¥4,500 for adults / ¥3,500 for children. Various accessories are also available for purchase.

- Ski boots are available for rent in 0.5cm increments, ranging from 15cm to 34cm.

- Waterproof ski boots (not attached to skis) are available for those only planning to play in the snow. Sizes range from 13cm to 28cm. Ski sleds can be rented for ¥500. You are welcome to bring your own ski equipment.

- Our company is not responsible for delays, itinerary changes, or cancellations due to force majeure.
