The 2019 Mount Fuji Kawaguchiko Marathon is an annual Tokyo Marathon event in Japan. You can choose between a 12km and a full marathon. Registration entitles you to the race and two nights' accommodations are booked for you, eliminating the need for accommodation worries. We also provide transportation to the race venue, eliminating transportation worries and allowing you to focus on your race preparation.

The annual Mount Fuji Kawaguchiko Marathon, held every November by the Yamanashi Athletic Association, circumnavigates Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Saiko. Fuji Premium Resort Located at an altitude of 900 meters, this highland resort is the closest to Mount Fuji. Boasting a vast expanse of approximately 50,000 tsubo (approximately 160,000 square meters), you can admire the majestic beauty of Mount Fuji and experience Japan's beautiful seasonal scenery. It's also only a 10-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Station, offering both tranquility and convenient access to the city.

After arriving at the hotel, you will collect your race supplies (check-in and prize collection: both available upon check-in). Free time at your own leisure.

At 3:00 PM, there will be a pre-race event featuring a unique Japanese cheering session to cheer on all runners. This unprecedented experience is highly anticipated (entry is free).

11/24 (Sun)
After breakfast, a hotel shuttle bus will take you to the race venue between 6:50 AM and 7:00 AM (you must use a VOUCHER to board the bus; latecomers will not be accepted).

The race will begin at 9:00 AM. Held in Kawaguchiko Park, this marathon will be offered in two options: a full marathon (42.195 km) and a 12 km marathon.

The full marathon will circle Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Saiko, while the 12 km marathon will cover a smaller section around Lake Kawaguchiko.

Food and water will be provided along the way for runners to replenish their energy!

The full marathon has a six-hour time limit, while the 12 km run has no time limit. The race will conclude at 6:00 PM.

Participants will receive a participation prize: an original commemorative T-shirt (full marathon/12 km).

Completers will receive a finisher's medal (full marathon before 3:00 PM / 12 km before 12:00 PM).

You'll have the opportunity to admire the beautiful autumn foliage scenery, enjoy the Kawaguchiko Onsen, and take in the beauty of Mount Fuji and its abundant natural resources from different perspectives via a cable car or boat tour. Local specialties like udon, cheesecake, and pheasant dishes are also worth trying! Also, must-buy Mount Fuji cookies and Mount Fuji postcards!
