Packrafting is a new type of water activity that's been gaining popularity in recent years. It looks like a canoe, but it's inflatable and foldable when deflated. Unlike a canoe's bulk, it's more maneuverable to alpine lakes and forest streams. Packrafting allows you to learn the balance between challenge and risk management, navigating rapids both downstream and upstream, discovering your inner courage and pulsating with the current!

The Beishi River, located in northern Taiwan, is one of the source streams of the Xindian River. With its gentle, safe currents, it's ideal for water activities like canoeing and packrafting. Packrafting combines the thrill of whitewater rapids with the thrill of river rafting. Each person paddles a boat, guided by a professional instructor, as they navigate the diverse landscapes of the Beishi River, including rocks and slides. It's a thrilling experience for both beginners and seasoned adventurers!

Travel Notes

The Beishi River Backpacking and Rafting experience is limited to participants aged 15 and above, and under 65. Children aged 15-18 must be accompanied by a parent for safety reasons. Unaccompanied children will not be permitted.

Please ensure you are in good health. Those with heart disease, high blood pressure, or other serious illnesses are not suitable for this experience and should not register.

For spring and autumn activities, travelers who are sensitive to cold weather can purchase and rent cold-weather clothing upon booking and arrive at the meeting point early to pick it up and change into new clothes.

Changing tents will be provided after the activity for a change of clothes.

This activity requires 5 people per group. If the group is unable to proceed due to insufficient numbers, we will notify you at least 5 days in advance to reschedule, retain the group, or refund the fee.

Please follow the instructions of the group leader and instructor, demonstrate teamwork and assist your teammates, and do not wander off to engage in activities on your own.

Please keep littering away and maintain a clean environment.

The overall activity schedule is subject to adjustment based on participant availability, facility conditions, and weather conditions, with safety and overall quality being our top priorities. In the event of inclement weather or high stream flow, the activity may be cancelled for safety reasons. Rescheduling or refunds may be offered.

Tour Pricing

The cost includes:

- Full-time tour leader
- Professional instructor
- Creek safety equipment: Full backpacking gear/life jacket/rubber boots/helmet
- Post-activity changing tent (for changing clothes)
- Camera and video recordings
- Full activity insurance

The cost does not include:

- Transportation and meals before and after the event
- Parking and ticket fees at the event venue are your own responsibility (tickets are NT$100 per person, parking is NT$100 per vehicle)
- Any expenses not specified

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 8 days prior to the start of the tour will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 3-7 days prior to the start of the tour will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the tour will not be refunded.

Passengers who are late or absent from the tour will not be refunded.

If the tour is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the tour. A refund will be issued using the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

If you wish to reschedule your tour due to personal reasons, you must notify us in advance. You may reschedule once. After rescheduling, you will not be able to cancel or refund the tour.

Rescheduling within 3 days of the event will not be accepted and will be deemed a cancellation, subject to the cancellation policy outlined above.

If you cancel your participation during the event due to reasons beyond the organizer's control, no refund will be given.
