The Paoma Ancient Trail is a key section of the Southern Danlan Historic Trail. The Paoma Ancient Trail uses A-entry and A-exit routes, covering a total of 10 kilometers and taking approximately 5-6 hours. The trail is primarily gravel, wide, and gently sloping, making it easy to walk. The gentle breeze provides a pleasant and relaxing experience, offering bird's-eye views of the Yilan Plain and Guishan Island. Not only is the scenery breathtaking, but it also highlights the importance of this ancient trail in its time!

The Paoma Ancient Trail, part of the Southern Danlan Historic Trail, also known as the "Danlan Bian Road," was a crucial economic tea route during the Qing Dynasty. It stretches from the border between Pinglin, New Taipei City, and Yilan County down to Wufengqi, Jiaoxi County. The trail offers panoramic views of Jiaoxi City and Guishan Island in the distance, and is shaded by trees, making it a pleasant hike.

Travel Notes

The Paoma Trail is suitable for ages 10 and up; minors must be accompanied by a parent.

This tour is suitable for self-organized groups with a minimum of 6 people. For larger groups, please contact customer service.

Transportation is not included. Additional charges may apply between Nangang MRT Station and the Paoma Trail entrance (Jiaoxi, Yilan).

Activity arrangements are subject to change based on participant availability, facility conditions, and weather conditions, with safety and overall quality being paramount.

Rainy Day Notice: If the rain is light, please wear a raincoat and continue the activity, paying extra attention to safety. If the rain intensifies, transportation, activity content, and venue may be adjusted.
If this tour is unable to depart due to force majeure events such as typhoons, heavy rain, high waves, strong winds, thunderstorms, etc., the company reserves the right to modify or alter the itinerary, including postponement or cancellation, for the safety of all participants.

If you receive notification from the company prior to departure regarding adverse weather conditions or cancellation, you may choose to postpone or refund the tour.

Tour Pricing

The cost includes:

- Trail completion electronic certificate, valid for cumulative entry to each section of the trail

The cost does not include:

- Lunch and drinks
- Other expenses not mentioned during the activity

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 8 days prior to the start of the tour will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 3-7 days prior to the start of the tour will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the tour will not be refunded.

Passengers who are late or absent from the tour will not be refunded.

If the tour is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the tour. A refund will be issued using the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

If you wish to reschedule your tour due to personal reasons, you must notify us in advance. You may reschedule once. After rescheduling, you will not be able to cancel or refund the tour.

Rescheduling within 3 days of the event will not be accepted and will be deemed a cancellation, subject to the cancellation policy outlined above.

If you cancel your participation during the event due to reasons beyond the organizer's control, no refund will be given.
