Come to Tomioka and listen to the story of a young returnee

By hammering the wood of a paper mulberry tree, the bark is separated from the woody core. The bark is then hammered and stretched to form a container, creating a unique lamp. The overseas returnee workshop will also share the characteristics of the paper mulberry bark during the experience. While the process can be tiring and requires patience, the hammering and hammering can help soothe your worries, and the moment you see the light bulb light up, you're sure to exclaim "Wow!" - Paper mulberry -
Common in Taiwan's cities and countryside, the paper mulberry tree was the primary bark clothing used by prehistoric humans and Austronesian peoples. It represents a highly representative material culture of the Austronesian language community.

- Returnee Workshop -
Qiqi, a local from Fugang, returned to her hometown three years ago and began participating in community development activities, supporting elderly health care, and transforming her childhood memories of Fugang into engaging and insightful field trips. She later opened a returnee workshop, selling handmade items and childhood snacks from the elderly on consignment. She also hosts exhibitions in the space. Through this space and its connections to the local area, she hopes to encourage more people to explore Fugang, understand it, and hear its stories.

The cost does not include:

Expenses not listed in the itinerary and personal expenses

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 6th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the day of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
