☆Frost Flower Viewing at Lake Akan (Morning Coffee Tour)… Join your guide to explore the frozen Lake Akan early in the morning. Stroll along the lake and enjoy a cup of coffee. If weather conditions are favorable (approximately 30% chance), you can see ice crystals, called frost flowers, forming on the lake's surface.

☆ Betsukai Ice Horizon… Located on the Nemuro Strait, facing Japan's largest sand spit, the Notsuke Peninsula's inland sea transforms into a vast expanse of snow and ice in winter. Experience this unique sight while walking along the sea with your guide. Interesting photos using perspective are also very popular.

☆ Drift Ice Walking…Walk on the drift ice stranded on the Shiretoko Peninsula while wearing a dry suit, safe even if you fall into the sea! This is a special event only available during this season.

Travel Notes

※Since frost flowers are a natural phenomenon, we cannot guarantee you'll see them.

Meet at TSURUGA ADVENTURE BASE SIRI, 1st floor, Tsuruga Wing, Lake Akan (transfer available).

※1. The meeting time for the morning coffee tour varies depending on the date. February 1st to February 15th: 6:00 AM, February 16th to February 28th: 5:50 AM, March 1st to March 31st: 5:40 AM

※Regarding the drift ice walk, if the tour is not possible due to bad weather or the absence of drift ice, a 6,000 yen refund will be given.

※ Requirements for participating in the drift ice walk

・Elementary school student or older, under 75 years old

・Height 130cm - 190cm, weight under 110kg

・Possessing general athletic ability and the ability to safely navigate independently

・Understands outdoor activities and can work with a group

※Japanese-style or Western-style rooms are available; room type cannot be specified.

※This package does not include additional passengers. Please move on your own.
※Please provide your reservation name or present your reservation confirmation email when boarding the bus on the day.

Tour Pricing

The cost includes:

Bus fare, accommodation fee (2 nights per night + breakfast), experience fee for presentation, travel planning fee

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 21 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 20-8 days (including the 8th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 20% handling fee.

Cancellations made 7-2 days (including the 2nd day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1 day prior to the start of the trip will incur a 40% handling fee.

Cancellations made on the day of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund may be issued after deducting a 10% handling fee. Alternatively, you may choose to reschedule your participation, in which case no payment will be deducted.

Rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed a cancellation and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If you cancel your participation during the event due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
