Travel Notes
The following are the rules for Tigerair Taiwan's Japan routes:
1. All in-flight meals are at your own expense. This itinerary provides a simple meal menu, and you may purchase additional meals on board at an additional cost. Passengers are reminded that empty plastic bottles may be brought on board after security check and refilled with water.
2. Each passenger is allowed 20 kg of free checked baggage, and one piece of carry-on luggage up to 10 kg. (Carry-on luggage dimensions must not exceed 54 cm + 38 cm + 23 cm.)
3. For infants under 2 years old (Tigerair does not accept infants under 8 days old), one adult passenger may only hold one infant on their lap (no bassinets are provided). Due to flight considerations and regulatory restrictions, each flight and cabin class has a maximum number of infants that can be accepted. Effective immediately, if you are traveling with an infant, please inform our staff at the time of booking to confirm seat availability and ticketing. Please also provide a ticketing list and date of birth. The airline will process applications based on the order of your list and will not accept applications once the quota is full.
4. Post-Ticketing Notes and Refund Policies: No changes to flights, dates, or itineraries; no refunds; no name or pinyin changes.
5. No free checked baggage or carry-on baggage allowance for infant tickets (No Baggage Allowance).
6. Group departure and return; no extensions. No transfers. Tickets are non-refundable once issued.
7. The airline reserves the right to adjust, change, or modify flight schedules and aircraft types.
Notes:
1. After booking a charter flight, the deposit will not be refunded if the group is canceled.
2. This itinerary is "group arrival and departure" and cannot be extended, refunded, or postponed. Passengers who leave the group at an outbound destination will be deemed to have waived all rights to the itinerary.
3. The company reserves the right to change the itinerary due to force majeure circumstances, such as international flights or weather conditions (typhoons, etc.). Confirmation of hotel accommodation and itinerary details is subject to the information provided at the briefing.
4. The above itinerary is for reference only. If the tourist area is closed or if accommodations and restaurants are fully booked or closed, the company reserves the right to adjust meal options. Arrangements by the local travel agency and tour guide will prevail.
5. Meals are subject to change due to seasonal factors or reservation availability. Please understand that changes are possible.
6. The group price does not include a guide and driver service fee of NT$300 per person per day, as well as personal television and refrigerator charges.
7. This tour does not allow for departures (except for itineraries that include a full-day Disneyland visit or free time), and does not accept independent travelers. If this does not meet your travel needs, we recommend purchasing one of our other independent travel packages. [Non-Taiwanese nationals or holders of foreign passports will be charged an additional fee based on the group price.] Please contact customer service. Thank you.
8. The group tour price is a comprehensive package. We guarantee that the itinerary will be carried out as described. Except where otherwise noted, individual refunds cannot be made based on personal or age factors. Please understand this before registering.
9. For groups of one adult and one child, children under 12 will be required to occupy a bed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
10. If the group consists of a single man and a single woman, depending on the local hotel, we may arrange for a triple or double room with an extra bed. If a single person registers and a double room cannot be accommodated, please pay the difference in the single room.
11. Japanese hotel rooms, with the exception of Japanese-style rooms, primarily feature twin beds. King-size beds are rare. King-size beds are available upon request, but availability is not guaranteed. This is subject to availability and is subject to change.
12. Regarding triple rooms: With the exception of Japanese-style rooms, Japanese hotel rooms rarely feature triple beds. If an extra bed is required for a group triple room, it may be added to a double room. Possible options are as follows:
A. One large bed + one camp bed or sofa bed
B. Two small beds + one camp bed or sofa bed
C. One large bed + one small bed. This option is available upon request but is not guaranteed. It will be subject to availability and the hotel's availability.
If you do not request a triple room or the room layout does not accommodate an extra bed, please ask for one person to share the room. Thank you for your understanding.
13. Hotel rates quoted for this itinerary are based on Taiwanese passport holders. If you are a foreign national or holding a foreign passport, or if your entire group consists of doctors, nurses, or medical equipment professionals, please contact customer service for a separate quote. (The same applies to joining a tour.)
14. Seat assignments are not available for group flights. Please inform customer service seven days prior to departure for any special meal requests or requests. 15. The website offer is limited. If the offer is full, the current website price will apply. For limited-time promotional tours, please pay immediately after placing your order. We apologize for any inconvenience.
16. This itinerary uses electronic tickets. For environmental and operational reasons, we will not print ticket stubs. Please notify us three days prior to departure if you require this. Tickets cannot be processed after issuance. Please retain your boarding pass stub. Thank you for your understanding.
17. After paying the deposit, we will protect your rights in accordance with the [Standardized Contract for Overseas Group Tours] stipulated by the Tourism Bureau.
18. In Japan, children under six years old are not allowed to share a bed. (Children sharing a bed may be charged a "facility usage fee" or "buffet entrance fee" depending on the hotel's regulations. In such cases, please pay these fees locally. Thank you for your understanding.)
The travel agency reserves the right to adjust the price.
Special Notes:
1. In June 2012, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan issued new regulations limiting daily driving time to 10 hours (based on the actual departure time from the depot) to effectively prevent traffic accidents caused by overworked or fatigued bus drivers. 2. The culinary cultures of Taiwan and Japan differ significantly. Most vegetarians in Japan enjoy foods containing onions, ginger, garlic, chili peppers, milk, eggs, and even bonito flakes or broth. To respect the dietary habits of Taiwanese vegetarians, while avoiding these ingredients, restaurants often offer set meals or hot pots with various vegetables, tofu, and other ingredients paired with pickles. Since vegan food is notoriously difficult to find locally, travelers to Japan are advised to prepare vegetarian meals in advance.
3. Regarding Special Dietary Experiencing the local culinary culture is an important part of any trip. Restaurant owners have their own professional commitments, but sometimes special dietary requirements may require the original restaurant to be unwilling to accommodate or change dishes, necessitating a change to another restaurant or meal content. While religious accommodations can be accommodated whenever possible, we cannot accommodate overly personal dietary requests (e.g., I don't eat chicken or duck, I'm a vegetarian, I don't eat eggs for breakfast, etc.). For health reasons, please inform us at least 7 business days in advance of any food allergies you may experience. We will notify the restaurant to avoid using these ingredients if possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.
4. We cannot specify connecting rooms or require family rooms to be next door or adjacent to each other. Please understand! (Note: We will inform our tour guides at the airport to make these arrangements upon receiving room numbers, but we cannot guarantee this.)
5. Regarding Japanese customs: Hot spring hotels have signs prohibiting guests with tattoos from entering the hot springs. Please note this. If you are unsure whether you meet these requirements, please ask your tour guide for confirmation before entering.
6. Due to the surge in tourist arrivals and the large size of the items being collected, Japanese hotels will no longer accept mailed items from travelers. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
7. Due to Taiwan Centers for Disease Control regulations, a negative PCR test result is required before boarding your return flight. Therefore, you will need to schedule a test at the clinic during your trip. The PCR test will take 1-2 hours, and your scheduled itinerary may be adjusted or canceled. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
