▲ Onaruto Bridge Promenade - Whirlpool-no-Michi

The Whirlpool-no-Michi is a tourist attraction located beneath the Onaruto Bridge, spanning the Naruto Strait between Japan's Awaji Island and Shikoku Island. Visitors can follow the approximately 450-meter-long promenade beneath the Onaruto Bridge to the observation deck directly above the Naruto Whirlpools. From a height of approximately 45 meters, admire the Naruto Whirlpools, one of the world's three largest, up close through transparent tempered glass.

Designed by renowned architect Tadao Ando, the Awaji Yumebutai is named in the hope of reviving the island's past charm. Combining tourism, environmental protection, and art, the park focuses on nature, showcasing flowers, greenery, and the ocean. It features recreational areas, gardening areas, walking trails, and an observatory. Here, visitors can fully enjoy the natural atmosphere of water, wind, light, shade, sky, and sea, experiencing a joy rarely experienced in daily life.
