▲ Yani Poinciana Flower and Tree Trail
After exiting the magnificent canyon scenery along Provincial Highway 8, you'll find a 1.5-kilometer-long green tunnel. This section is composed of Poinciana trees, whose fiery crimson and greenery in summer create a striking contrast to the usual lush greenery, a hallmark of the tunnel. The tunnel is at its most beautiful in June, when the flamboyant trees bloom. The crimson blossoms contrast with the lush greenery, creating a picturesque scene you simply must see.

Several Indigenous settlements once stood along the trail, creating a vibrant blend of natural and cultural beauty. The rushing stream flows through the streambed, creating a clear, natural melody alongside the large and small rocks, while the water itself polishes the rocks into smooth, graceful shapes. The trail features numerous viewpoints and information boards, and much of the walk takes place through the woods.
