▲ Mataian Wetland
Spanning nearly 12 hectares, with the Fudeng River winding through the wetland, it is the largest ecological wetland in Hualien County and home to the largest Amis community in Taiwan. "Mataian" ("Fataan") is the name given to a type of tree bean by the Amis people. The tree bean is a mascot for the Amis people, who often carry it with them and plant it everywhere. The area of Fataan is named after the tree bean, meaning "a place full of tree beans."

▲ Xinlu Farm
Located at the foot of Mataian and Maxi Mountains in Guangfu, Hualien, Xinlu Farm began as a leisure agricultural operation over 20 years ago, starting with a fishing pond. In addition to offering a wealth of guided nature tours, DIY mochi-making and planting experiences, weaving, and stone house guesthouses, the area also offers a feast of local delicacies, including the unique Amis "Palakaw" fishing method, stone hot pot, and salt-grilled tilapia.

Established during the Japanese colonial period, the Hualien Tourism Sugar Factory, also known as the Guangfu Sugar Factory, sells a wide variety of ice cream flavors, from sweet and fluffy ice cream to refreshing and slightly sweet popsicles, leaving everyone feeling incredibly satisfied.

Travel Notes

Each vehicle can accommodate at least two people (excluding infants).

Infants under two years old who do not occupy a seat are only charged a NT$200 insurance fee. If your infant requires a safety seat, please arrange this in advance during booking.

The tour is expected to depart Hualien Station at 8:00 AM or 1:00 PM, approximately four hours. Hotel pickup and drop-off in Hualien City is available (primarily within the city). The detailed meeting time will be confirmed by phone the night before, so please keep your phone accessible.

All itineraries are combined and may be adjusted based on local conditions, but we guarantee no shortening of the itinerary. Thank you for your understanding!

Please provide a Taiwan mobile phone number to facilitate contact and avoid delays.

Parking spaces are allocated based on the order in which passengers arrive on the day of check-in.

The vehicles are enclosed spaces. Pets and dangerous items are not allowed on board to avoid compromising passenger safety. If a passenger leaves the group for personal reasons and is unable to meet up during the itinerary, no refund will be given.

The travel times listed in the itinerary are for reference only. Due to road conditions or heavy holiday crowds, the itinerary sequence may be adjusted.

Orders are valid only after confirmation by customer service and are deemed to constitute the signing of a standardized domestic travel contract. Please review the contract carefully.

Online reservations do not guarantee a reservation; actual arrangements are subject to change.

Passengers agree that they are solely responsible for any cancellations or postponements after ordering and paying for this product.

In the event of force majeure such as typhoons, earthquakes, or heavy rain, the company reserves the right to postpone departure or provide a full refund.

Cancellation Policy: Our company operates in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Tourism Bureau and signs a travel contract with passengers. Please refer to the "Standardized Domestic Travel Contract" for detailed cancellation policies. The notification date must be based on the normal working hours announced by the Personnel Administration Bureau. If the time exceeds the normal working hours, the next working day will be calculated. Please understand.

The cost does not include:

- All meals are at your own expense.
- Driver and guide tips: NT$100 per person (including children occupying seats). Please pay to the driver and guide on the bus on the day of departure.
- Any expenses not specified in this itinerary, including suggested, optional, or discretionary expenses.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 41 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 5% handling fee.

Cancellations made 31-40 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 10% handling fee.

Cancellations made 21-30 days (including the 30th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 20% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2-20 days (including the 20th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1 day prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 20% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1 day prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Refunds are not available on the start date of the trip.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Requests for rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons beyond the organizer's control, no refund will be given.
