This historic fishing port in Keelung was established by the Japanese in 1934. During the Japanese colonial period, it was Taiwan's largest port and a thriving fishing trade port, a major contributor to Keelung's early prosperity. Now, the Keelung City Government has transformed it into a popular holiday destination and a landmark.

▲ Agena Shipyard

Constructed during the Japanese colonial period, it served as the terminus for various railway branch lines, collecting gold and other minerals from Jinguashi for shipment to Japan. After the end of the colonial period, it was leased to Agena Shipyard, an American company specializing in yacht construction. Although now abandoned, the site still bears this name. Its exposed steel and concrete create a modern, decadent aesthetic, making it a popular photo spot. Even Hollywood star Chris Evans, who starred in the film "Captain America," has visited it for commercials.

▲Heping Island Park
Heping Island is located at the northern end of Keelung Harbor, east of the harbor, and is now connected to the mainland of Taiwan. Due to the constant northeast monsoon and the erosion of the waves, Heping Island's natural landscape is unique. Its subsidence coastline has resulted in numerous unusual rocks and unusual shorelines. Due to this unique landscape, the government has designated Heping Island Coastal Park. It consists of three main areas: a swimming pool, a unique rock formation, and a visitor information center. Heping Island Park minimizes artificial structures to minimize damage to nature, cultivating this beautiful natural treasure with a commitment to preserving the natural ecology. It serves as a scenic natural learning center and a unique coastal secret for visitors to northern Taiwan.

Jintaifeng Cultural Museum: Renovated from a century-old rice mill, the [Humanistic Café] maintains the original appearance of the old house. The long-abandoned mill, gradually transformed into a unique and nostalgic cafe. (To maintain the old house, admission is subject to a fee.)
Jinshan Red: Featuring the locally grown Tainong No. 66 red sweet potatoes, this shop offers a series of baked goods. Each adorable creation is a favorite among influencers and a must-buy souvenir.

Wangwang Sweet Potato Farm showcases the brand's development. The hall sells a variety of sweet potato products and souvenirs, including thin and thick sweet potato slices, French fries, sweet potato cakes, bread, toast, and ice cream. The hall also offers a wide variety of meals and drinks, making it a great place for travelers to relax! They also host occasional DIY activities for families.

▲Qiu Yin Farm Guided Tour + DIY Activities

Located in Jinshan District, New Taipei City, Qiu Yin Farm uses earthworms to feed on discarded sweet potatoes in Jinshan. The resulting earthworm castings contain over 2,000 beneficial microorganisms, which can be used as plant fertilizer and in laying hens to deodorize and improve egg quality, creating a fully self-sustaining ecological farm. Guided tours, food and agriculture education, and DIY activities are available.

▲ Zhongjiao Bay Surfing Base

Located at kilometer 39 of Provincial Highway 2, Zhongjiao Bay boasts a concave sandy shoreline. Combined with northerly winds year-round, it creates beautiful, high waves, making it a renowned surfing paradise on the north coast. Weekends are always packed with surfers, who ride the wind and waves, creating a unique surfing experience.

▲ Fugui Cape Lighthouse & Laomei Maze

Fugui Cape Lighthouse is located at the northernmost tip of Taiwan. Formerly known as Fuji Cape Lighthouse, it was originally an octagonal iron structure. Due to damage during World War II, it was replaced with an octagonal concrete structure in 1962. Fuji Cape Lighthouse boasts a charming black and white exterior. It is also one of Taiwan's four poles and the northernmost lighthouse on the island.

Chun Jin Live Seafood

This seafood restaurant, located at Fu Chi Fishing Port, has been in business for over 31 years. Their motto is "Credit," and they've earned the support of hundreds of loyal customers. This year, they were even recognized as a New Taipei City Selected Restaurant. Besides stir-frying fresh seafood, they also offer XO sauce, fish cakes, and agar-agar jelly drinks. Their delicious ingredients are a firm favorite among gourmets.
