- Attraction Introduction | Golden Tamsui Historic Site Sunset 3-Day Tour

▲Daxi Old Street
To experience the beauty of Taiwan's Baroque architecture, start with the century-old houses of Daxi Old Street! Daxi is the starting point of Taoyuan's development. Small sailboats plying the Dahan River for trade with the mainland gave rise to numerous businesses and merchants, driving Daxi's prosperity. Baroque architecture was popular during the Taisho era of Japanese rule. As a result, bustling old streets like Heping Road and Zhongshan Road feature a unique blend of Baroque flourishes and traditional Minnan motifs, creating a unique Daxi character. Besides exploring Daxi Old Street, nearby attractions include the Daxi Bridge, the Li Tengfang Historic Residence, temples, the Wude Hall Cultural Site, and the Daxi Wood Art Ecological Museum. Of course, don't forget to sample the traditional Taiwanese snacks found on the old street, especially Daxi dried tofu, mooncakes, peanut candy, tofu pudding, rice cakes, and glutinous rice balls. These are absolutely must-try items in Taoyuan!

▲ Tamsui Huwei Art Park

Located in Tamsui District, New Taipei City, the park is adjacent to attractions such as the Tamsui Fortress, Huwei Fort, the One Drop of Water Memorial Hall, and the Tamsui Customs Wharf. Opened at the end of September 2019, the park combines accommodation (at the Golden Tulip Hotel), travel, learning, and experience, offering visitors a variety of facilities and entertainment activities. Its geometrically symmetrical, snow-white architecture incorporates the arched Western-style architecture of Tamsui, attracting many tourists and influencers for photo opportunities. It boasts an international green building hotel and a 1,000-ping grassland, offering panoramic views of Bali Left Bank and Guanyin Mountain. Designed by a renowned national green architecture team, the park is a "Golden Class Green Building." Designed with green energy and environmental protection in mind, the park emphasizes the coexistence of greenery, nature, and culture. Li Lai Plaza, located downstairs from the hotel, houses a cinema, exhibition space, a shopping mall, and the distinctive Tamsui "Huwei Story House," offering occasional crafting classes for visitors.

▲ Golden Tulip Tamsui Hotel

Opening in 2019, the Golden Tulip Hotel is the first international hotel chain in Tamsui and the second in New Taipei City. It is also the fourth franchise location in Taiwan for Europe's second-largest Golden Tulip Hotel Group. With professional and sophisticated international hotel management, the hotel offers 175 Golden Waterfront Suites in five themes and six room types, each with expansive views, embracing the beautiful scenery within. Take in the breathtaking views of Tamsui's changing seasons, including sunrises and sunsets.

▲ Fort San Domingo/Little White House in Tamsui

The former official residence of the Commissioner of Customs and Excise of Tamsui in the Qing Dynasty, also known as the "Little White House," was built in 1862. Its location in Puting gives it the nickname "Puting Western-style Building." Designated a Class III historical site by the Ministry of the Interior in 1997, it is now a designated historic site in New Taipei City. With a history exceeding 100 years, Fort San Domingo is a striking white Spanish-style building. After the opening of Tamsui Port to foreign trade in the 1860s, it became a major hub for foreigners to conduct business, trade, and reside in Tamsui. As the city prospered, many exotic buildings emerged, including the Little White House, a colonial-style structure.

▲ Sanzhi Repulse Bay Zhilan Sea Observation Deck
The North Coast's newest destination has arrived! The Zhilan Park Sea Observation Deck at Sanzhi Repulse Bay boasts a 57-meter aquamarine promenade extending directly out to sea, offering visitors the feeling of stepping into the heart of the ocean. Strolling along the azure horizon is an incredibly romantic experience, especially when paired with stunning sunset views.

▲ Jinshan Old Street Self-Guided Tour (Recommended: Jinshan Red & Jintaifeng Cultural Museum)
Jintaifeng Cultural Museum: Renovated from a century-old rice mill, the [Humanistic Café] maintains the original character of the old building, meticulously transforming this long-abandoned, ruined mill into a unique, nostalgic café. (This is a Wei-Ming historic house; admission is subject to purchase.)
Jinshan Red: A series of baked goods are harvested from the locally grown Tainong No. 66 red sweet potatoes, a popular product of Jinshan. Each adorable item is a favorite among influencers and a must-buy souvenir.

▲Shilin Night Market
Shilin Night Market is one of Taipei's largest night markets, centered around the Yangming Theater and Cicheng Temple, and encompasses the bustling streets of Wenlin, Dadong, and Danan Roads. Renowned for its diverse selection of traditional snacks, the market attracts numerous tourists. Classics like large pancakes wrapped in small pancakes, stone hot pot, and Shilin sausage have become culinary landmarks. Due to its proximity to many school districts, the night market primarily caters to students, resulting in significantly lower prices than in regular stores, a key attraction for tourists. Walking through the winding alleys, you will often be surprised to find a new village after a dark period. However, the night market is only lively at night, and most of the food-oriented shops are closed during the day.
