Jiufen, a mountain town nestled against the slopes of the mountain, was once known as "Little Shanghai" and "Little Hong Kong," and enjoyed a period of prosperity fueled by the gold rush. Besides enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the northeastern coastline, visitors can also learn about northern Taiwan's mining history, witness the joys and sorrows of Jiufen, and immerse themselves in the nostalgic atmosphere of the 1940s, reminiscing about its former glory.

▲ Nanya Rocks

Due to geological, sea erosion, and weathering processes, these unique rock formations, such as Ice Cream Rock and Bamboo Shoot Rock, stand proudly on the coastline, attracting countless visitors.

▲ Yin-Yang Sea

The interplay of half golden and half turquoise waters creates a striking contrast, resembling the Tai Chi symbol of yin and yang, hence its name.

▲Jinguashi Thirteen-Storey Ruins

Built in 1933 when the Japanese discovered and began mining copper, it stands as a testament to the city's copper mining history. It closed in 1987 due to the decline of the mining industry. From a distance, the building resembles a forgotten, abandoned palace, and in recent years has become a filming location for many television dramas and commercials.

▲Jiufen Old Street

Jiufen, a prosperous mountain town that rose to prominence during the 1940s gold rush, has become a vibrant place. Although the gold mining industry has ceased, the city still holds many stories to discover.

In the 1990s, Hou Hsiao-hsien's film "A City of Sadness" was filmed here. The film brought Jiufen's unique old-style architecture and charm to national and international attention, bringing new life to the area.

Travel Notes

• This tour provides live commentary in both Chinese and English.
• Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older.
• Infants aged 0-1 do not have a car seat and must ride on an adult's lap. Children aged 2 and older are charged the child rate, which includes a car seat.
• Please arrive at the pick-up location 10 minutes before the tour starts. Latecomers will not be accommodated.
• Each person is allowed one piece of carry-on luggage.
• Due to the terrain, passengers with limited mobility and strollers are not recommended.
• The day's itinerary and duration may be adjusted based on actual conditions or weather conditions.
• If the tour cannot be carried out due to bad weather, we will notify you by email or text message before the end of the working day before the tour departure.

Tour Pricing

The cost includes:

– Round-trip transportation and tolls (vehicle type assigned based on final group size)
– Professional tour guide (Mandarin/English)
– NT$2 million travel industry liability insurance (with additional NT$200,000 medical insurance)

The cost does not include:

– Tips for the driver and tour guide
– Meals
– Personal travel insurance (according to regulations, passengers are required to purchase travel insurance if they have specific needs)
– Any expenses not specified in the itinerary, including any expenses incurred during recommended, optional, or discretionary travel

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made up to 4 days before the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 2-3 days (including the 3rd day) before the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made up to 1 day (including the 1st day) before the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the day of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
