For example, millet, the only gluten-free grain, is a staple food for modern people, yet it has been a vital staple for centuries. A vibrant folk food lesson begins!

- Jialan Tribe -
The Jialan Tribe is a community of Paiwan and Rukai peoples. This beautiful tribe was once severely affected by Typhoon 88. With unwavering determination, the villagers rebuilt their homeland, and now it's a must-see for many visiting the southeastern Taitung region. The first thing that catches your eye when you enter the tribe is the distinctive archway decorated with hundred-pace snakes and wild boar teeth. All kinds of totems, wood carvings and paintings full of indigenous flavor can be seen everywhere in the tribe, making the originally pale and uniform community suddenly lively and full.

Travel Notes

- Please arrive ten minutes in advance. The journey from downtown Taitung to the village is approximately 40-45 minutes. Please consider your own travel time.
- This tour costs NT$990 per person, the same price for adults and children. A NT$100 insurance and administrative fee will be charged for children under 6 years old, but no related services are provided.
- Please bring your own towel, sunscreen, water bottle, rain gear, and comfortable walking clothing for the rural experience.
- This tour is for a group of four adults. We will notify you five days before the tour date whether you will be included in the tour. If the required number is not met, the tour will be cancelled or you may choose to reschedule.
- In the event of a severe natural disaster (such as a typhoon), the activity provider reserves the right to cancel the activity for the safety of all guests. You may choose to reschedule.
- Vegetarian options are available for this tour; please indicate this on the booking page.
- The farm may adjust the order or content of the tour due to seasonal or climatic factors.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 41 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 5% handling fee.

Cancellations made 31-40 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 10% handling fee.

Cancellations made 21-30 days (including the 30th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 20% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2-20 days (including the 20th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1 day prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 20% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1 day prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Refunds are not available on the start date of the trip.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Requests for rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons beyond the organizer's control, no refund will be given.
