Taiwan's First Ring-Town Bike Path ~ A Slow Cycling Tour of Guanshan's Nostalgic Japanese-Style Town

A group of 4! Enjoy a leisurely and informative e-bike tour with a full guide.

When you think of Guanshan, you'll inevitably think of the Longitudinal Valley and rice paddies. The fragrant Guanshan rice leaves a lasting impression! This tour takes you deep into the hometown of Guanshan rice and experience its rice culture. Enjoy a cycling tour of the charming town of Guanshan, steeped in Japanese charm. The old streets are lined with Japanese-style buildings, including the Stationmaster's Quarters and the Police Museum. Embark on a journey steeped in the fragrance of rice and Japanese culture. Experience the Guanshan Bicycle Path, Taiwan's first town-circling bicycle path. Along the way, you'll be captivated by the crisscrossing rice paddies and the rustic charm of the countryside. This cycling tour of Guanshan is steeped in cultural charm.

▲ Guanshan's Nostalgic Japanese Style

Starting at the old Guanshan Railway Station, established during the Japanese colonial era, you'll visit wooden buildings over a century old, the Stationmaster's Quarters, designed in the early Japanese style, and the Guanshan Police Historical Museum. This journey is steeped in cultural nostalgia.

▲ Guanshan Rice School

Established by the Guanshan Township Farmers' Association, the Rice School offers a fun and educational rice-making experience: "See, Hear, Eat, Play, and Buy." You can even take home your own hand-wrapped rice as a souvenir. The school features a rice museum, a rice DIY workshop, a rice carving workshop, and an agricultural product exhibition and sales center. The traditional large bowl of rice served at the school is a must-try.

▲ Guanshan Bike Path

The Guanshan Town Cycle Path is Taiwan's first dedicated bicycle route. Spanning 12 kilometers, it winds around Guanshan, offering smooth and comfortable terrain. Enjoy the changing scenery of the rice fields and the rustic rural life throughout the year. Enjoy the scenic vistas of the bush-lined path and the panoramic views of Guanshan Town from the highest point, the Sun and Moon Pavilion.
