Accommodation |
# Accommodation: Varies depending on the hotel
# Room Type: The standard price on this website is based on a 4-person room

▲ Taibalang Tribe

Taibalang is an Amis tribe. The fertile alluvial soil of the Coastal Mountains, with its high viscosity and rich trace elements, is ideal for growing red glutinous rice, making Taibalang the only producer of red glutinous rice in Taiwan.

▲ Mafo Pottery Kiln

Originally a brick kiln from the 1960s and 1970s, the Mafo community now builds bat houses for ecological sustainability, grows bat-friendly rice, and utilizes the fertile soil of the Coastal Mountains to harvest, process, and refine the soil, creating pottery pieces with a natural, earthy texture.

▲ Da Nong Da Fu Plains Forest Park ~ Bike Tour + Forest Picnic

Located between the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range, the park features nearly 20 common low-altitude tree species, creating a natural, low-lying ecological environment. Ride beneath the shady maple trees, learn about the natural ecology, and enjoy a soothing picnic on the forest lawn.

▲Yuli Town Cycling Tour

Take a leisurely bike ride to visit Yuli Catholic Church and Yuli Shrine, and learn about the story of Yuli Town.

▲Eastern Taiwan Black Bear Education Center

Here, learn about the ecology of the black bear (TUMAZ). As Taiwan's only native bear species, the black bear holds unique ecological, conservation, and cultural significance. Its survival is crucial not only for the preservation of this species on the island but also for the integrity of the forest ecosystem and the protection of overall biodiversity.

▲Nan'an Waterfall

The majestic Nan'an Waterfall, originating from Dalixian Mountain in Zhuoxi Township, Hualien County, is a must-see attraction on the Walami Trail. Its well-preserved environment holds abundant water resources. The torrent cascades down the cliffs, creating waves of silvery white water in pools of varying depths.

▲Walami Trail
The Walami Trail is part of the eastern section of the Batongguan Mountain Crossing Trail, built during the Japanese colonial era. It's part of Yushan National Park, and it traverses the mountains from Hualien to Dongpu Hot Springs in Nantou. This ancient trail once ran east-west. This area was once the traditional home of the Bunun people and the home of the Formosan black bear. Let's explore the ecology and beautiful mountain scenery of the bear-infested forest.
