Tour Overview

Liuli Waterfall, Hualien's newest hidden gem near Mugu and Muyu, is a water paradise only known to locals.

Follow the hunters into the mountains, learn about mountain plants, and listen to stories about their hunting experiences

Enjoy a game-themed meal amidst the turquoise waters and valley views

Arriving at the Tongmen Tribe of the Taroko people in Hualien, we first prepared a handmade lunch and a protective necklace for entering the mountains. Then, we followed the hunters up the mountain, listening to their stories of hunting and their wisdom from the mountains. After passing through a tunnel and walking along a mountain path, we arrived at the crystal-clear Liuli Waterfall, a local favorite for water play. Sit on a rock and admire the valley's beauty while enjoying a delicious lunch of wild game, smoked pork, free-range chicken soup, and wild vegetable soup. Our hearts soared as we marveled at the wonders of nature.

- Attraction Introduction -

▲ Mugu Muyu Tribe
The Mugu Muyu Tribe, also known as the Tongmen Tribe, is renowned for its production of the traditional Taroko sword, the Tongmen Knife. The indigenous people who live here are Taroko people, originally from Nantou. Approximately three hundred years ago, after crossing Qilai Peak and Nenggao Mountain, they arrived at the river terraces of Mugua Creek in Xiulin Township and cultivated the land. The Mukumugi family was the first family to cultivate land here, so the place was called Mukumugi.
