When it comes to Taiwan, some say its most unique features are its mountains and tribal culture. So, what's your impression of Taoyuan? Taoyuan boasts rich forest resources and a diverse ethnic culture. Spend a night in the Fuxing Mountains, and you'll get closer to the Atayal tribe! "Where there are Atayal, there are bamboo trees."

Ascending the mountain, we arrive at the Kapu Tribe, where we'll be greeted by a forest of bamboo trees. Let's begin our exploration of bamboo, then get hands-on with it, cutting and pulling bamboo, building bamboo huts, and crafting food utensils, reminiscing about the Atayal's legacy. Take a moment to escape your worries and journey into the mountains, connect with nature, and experience the Atayal's hunting, gathering, and culinary culture.

Travel Notes

- This activity is an overnight camping experience. Tents and mats will be provided, but please bring your own blankets, sleeping bags, and personal toiletries.
- Please dress lightly and practically.
- As the activity is outdoors, please bring your own reusable tableware, water bottle, personal medication, rain gear, and insect repellent.
- This activity includes insurance. To protect your insurance rights, please be sure to fill out your participant information.
- A pre-departure notice will be sent via email one week before the activity, including transportation options (self-guided travel or shuttle transfer from Xiaowulai Station). If you are approaching the activity date and have not received the pre-departure notice, please contact us to confirm.
- Meals are provided. Vegetarians, food allergies, etc., please inform us in advance.
- No refunds will be given if you cancel your participation during the activity due to reasons beyond the organizer's control.

The cost does not include:

Any expenses not specified in this itinerary, any self-funded expenses or any expenses arising from the itinerary.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 6th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the start date of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A full refund may be offered, or the participant may choose to reschedule the event.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.

Exit at Daxi Interchange - County Road 112A - Provincial Highway 3 - Provincial Highway 7 - Xingxi Road - (Taoyuan 115) Turn onto Kapu Road to reach the Tribe Bamboo Workshop.

► Public Transportation

[From North of Taoyuan]

1. Take MRT Bus No. 710 from Yongning Station → Get off at Daxi Terminal → Transfer to Bus No. 5105 → Get off at Xiaowulai Station → Shuttle service available.

2. Take MRT Bus No. 710 from Yongning Station → Get off at Daxi Terminal → Turn right after exiting the terminal and walk towards Taiwan SME Bank. You will see a Daxi stop near Taiwan SME Bank for 5 minutes. Take Taiwan Express Bus No. 502 (operates only on holidays) → Get off at Xiaowulai Station → Shuttle service available.

Note: 502 The Taiwan Travel service departs Taoyuan Main Station at 8:30 AM and is expected to arrive at Daxi Station around 9:10 AM. Please note your boarding time.

[Departing from South Taoyuan]

1. From Zhongli Back Train Station to Taoyuan Bus Terminal, take the bus bound for Daxi → Get off at Daxi Main Station → Transfer to bus No. 5105 → Get off at Xiaowulai Station → Transfer by shuttle bus.

2. From Zhongli Back Train Station to Taoyuan Bus Terminal, take the bus bound for Daxi → Get off at Daxi Main Station → After exiting the terminal, turn right toward Taiwan SME Bank and walk for 5 minutes. You will see a Daxi stop sign near Taiwan SME Bank. → Take Taiwan Travel Bus No. 502 (runs only on holidays) → Get off at Xiaowulai Station → Transfer by shuttle bus.

Note: The 502 Taiwan Travel service departs Taoyuan Main Station at 8:30 AM and is expected to arrive at Daxi Station around 9:10 AM. Please note your boarding time.
