Let simple pastel drawing serve as a starting point for mind-body harmony, creating a harmonious balance for your own body and soul! This workshop will begin with an introduction to common pastel techniques, followed by a lively and engaging introduction, allowing participants to learn how to interact with various tools and experience the healing power of pastels. Focusing on "harmony of mind and body," participants will then be led through the creation of artistic drawings, traveling through time and space. Through breathing exercises, drawing, writing, and storytelling, participants will experience the magic of mind-body unity. In this gentle way, creativity becomes a form of effortless Zen.

- About Harmonious Pastels -
In the field of pastel drawing, the most accessible and approachable is the Japanese finger-based "Harmonious Pastels" technique. During the practice process, pastels can be combined with readily available materials like cotton swabs and combs, adding richness and flexibility to the creative process. Even beginners can quickly adjust their mental and physical state and gain a great sense of accomplishment. Therefore, pastels are widely used in mental health settings, such as art therapy, mind decks, and picture book creation.

Born in Hsinchu, graduated from the Department of Drama at Taipei National University of the Arts, and holds a dual master's degree in Education and Psychological Counseling from Tamkang University and a master's degree in Aerospace Management from RMIT University. In 2021, she established "Hemeisi Space" in Kinmen to practice mind yoga. A practitioner of creative communication with a keen eye for expression and a passion for teaching, she has long been committed to the principle of "life is art, art is life."

Activity process

Prepare all materials (white paper, pastel pens) and log in to the online classroom 10 minutes before the class.

First practice light breathing meditation + stick the drawing paper on the frame

Learn basic fingering and complete the work "Flower of Heartlight"

◥

Integrate practical techniques to create works such as "Happiness Tree" or "Track of Meditation"

◥

Message interpretation, interactive sharing - self-care and peace of mind

◥

End the experience and log off with full spiritual strength

Travel Notes

- This experience is a live online video conference and does not include transportation. The instructor and guests will meet at home using Google Meet.
- Please prepare a smartphone or computer with a microphone and headphones, and ensure a stable internet connection.
- Please log in to your Google account beforehand. Please keep your camera on at all times to participate and actively speak, so the instructor can monitor your attendance.
- This experience does not include materials. Please prepare the following materials (most of which can be purchased at regular stationery stores) before the event:

1. Pastel (Lion hard-coated paper is sufficient)

2. Construction paper (or pre-cut 15cm x 15cm paper)

3. Transparent tape

4. Utility knife

5. Eraser, soft eraser

6. Cotton swabs, cotton pads

7. A4-sized cutting mat (optional)

8. Finalizing spray glue (optional)

- This experience has a group size limit, with a minimum of 20 participants per session. If the class cannot start due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified three days before the class start date to reschedule or refund the fee.

- Pre-arrival notice and the Google Meet meeting code and link (or other online video platform) will be provided via email one day before the class start.

- No refunds will be given for late arrivals or absences.

- Please carefully review the itinerary and these terms and conditions for the activity you are participating in, and only register after fully understanding and agreeing to them.
- During the epidemic prevention period, travelers must comply with epidemic prevention policies and stay at home during the experience. Avoid gatherings.
- This experience is also available for corporate groups of up to 20 people, making it an excellent team-building activity during the work-from-home period.

The cost does not include:

Any expenses not specified in this itinerary, any self-funded expenses or any expenses incurred in connection with the itinerary.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 6th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the start date of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed a cancellation and will be handled in accordance with the above cancellation policy.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
