Tour Overview

The secret forest of the middle route of the Danlan Ancient Trail - Pingxi Ancient Trail and Hubaotan Ancient Trail

Play in the stream! Look for the "light blue symbol" of the double-leaved fern and the adorable blue-bellied pheasant.

Lunch offers Taiping no-menu cuisine, enjoying natural wild vegetable dishes

Earphones are provided for professional commentary, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of the trail's history and cultural heritage.
[A tour leader and a guide accompany you, ensuring professional tour quality.]

Enter the Bengshankeng Historic Trail and listen to your guide recount the history of the trail. Before the road was paved, it was a route used by Shuangxi residents for shopping, coal mining, and weddings. It's also part of the middle section of the Danlan Historic Trail. Climb the stone steps, restored by volunteers from the Qianli Trail Association, and you'll be surrounded by the "Danlan" signatures of the fern, Usnea, Lophatherum gracile, and Cyperus rotundus. You might even spot the lovely blue-bellied pheasant. Stroll along the trail, enjoying the company of the stream, and discover the remains of the main house and arch bridge. It's like stepping back in time, transported back to the bustling olden days!

- Attraction Introduction | Bengshankeng Historic Trail Hike -

▲ Bengshankeng Historic Trail
Also known as the "Ganjiao Taiping Historic Trail," "Gantai Historic Trail," or "Taiping Historic Trail," before the road was built, it served as a route for residents of Ganjiao and Taiping in Shuangxi District, New Taipei City, to purchase supplies, mine coal, and gather for weddings. It is also a key section of the middle section of the Danlan Historic Trail. The Taiwan Thousand Mile Trails volunteer team has hand-restored the stone steps, restoring the path pioneered by our ancestors while protecting the natural environment.
