Tour Overview

The registration deadline has passed. We recommend joining the Mazu Aerial Pilgrimage Tour for the same fun of accompanying Mazu on the pilgrimage!

-Attraction Introduction-
▲Yuemei Sugar Factory

Here you can enjoy a nostalgic new look and reminisce about the sweet taste of childhood with some ice cream. This former employee welfare center, a legacy from the Japanese colonial era, is a favorite among tourists. Walls are painted with pictures of the old mountain scenery, and a covered corridor displays antique farm tools and items used in olden days. It's like stepping back in time, while experiencing the sugar factory's lush vegetation and towering ancient trees. There's a thousand-year-old Zemin tree, the only thousand-year-old ginkgo tree on the plain, as well as a century-old osmanthus fragrans and a century-old pine trail.

▲Bantianliao Cape of Good Hope Seaview Trail in Miaoli

From the commanding heights of a coastal hill, this trail offers commanding views of the vast bay and the endless ocean. The sunset view from the Cape of Good Hope is particularly spectacular. Standing atop, the view is expansive: lush mountains on one side and the uninterrupted coastline on the other. The scenery is breathtaking. Even more captivating is the row of massive wind turbines along the azure coastline, gleaming brilliantly against the azure sky. The occasional train passing by adds to the dynamic atmosphere. The Cape of Good Hope also boasts a centuries-old tradition of fishing, known as stone traps, inherited from the Pingpu people. These traps are also of great historical and educational significance.
