The waters of the Southern Four Islands are dotted with small islands, with Dongji Island being the largest. Gaze down from the island's highest point and you'll feel transported abroad for a moment, its beauty so stunning it's like "Taiwan's Machu Picchu!" Dongyuping is a popular destination for divers, where protected coral reefs create a vibrant "lavender forest" of the sea, home to a vibrant ecosystem of diverse marine life. Cruising the seas, you'll pass Xiyuping, a basalt-clad island where sunlight filters into sea caves, creating a stunning "blue hole" of shimmering light.

-Introduction to Snorkeling in the Lavender Forest of Dongyuping-
Immerse yourself in the ocean and listen to its truest sounds. As part of the Southern Four Islands, Dongyuping boasts pristine waters and a diverse marine ecosystem. Snorkeling in the lavender forest allows you to not only meet marine life face-to-face, but also be guided by a professional instructor to admire the magnificent purple staghorn corals and other uniquely colored soft and hard corals.

Travel Notes

The Dongyuping Lavender Forest snorkeling activity is suitable for children aged 6 and above and adults aged 65 and below. Minors must be accompanied by their parents at all times.

The departure time may be adjusted due to sea conditions and weather conditions. Please inform us the day before departure. Please be sure to check in at the designated counter at the Visitor Center 20 minutes in advance. Late arrival will be considered a cancellation.

The return time may also be affected by factors such as the speed of the boat. The estimated arrival time at Magong Port is around 3:30 PM.

The stay on Dongji Island is approximately 1.5 hours, and the snorkeling activity in the Dongyuping Lavender Forest is approximately 1 hour. The above times are for reference only and are subject to change depending on the sea conditions.

If you prefer to avoid the sun and want to explore the island's attractions on your own, we recommend purchasing a scooter ride for transportation on Dongji Island.

Lunch on Dongyuping Island will primarily consist of seafood. If you do not eat seafood, a vegetarian lunch will be provided. Please be sure to select this option when registering for this arrangement.

Non-prescription masks will be provided for the lavender forest snorkeling activity. A limited number of prescription masks are available on site. Contact lens wearers are recommended.

Due to the shallow depth of the Dongyuping Lavender Forest waters, please do not wear fins.

This activity is not suitable for those with heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, diabetes, asthma, pregnant women, ear problems, colds, or other chronic conditions that are unsuitable for sea activities.

Due to the precious water resources in Dongyuping, please conserve water and bring your own towel and change of clothes. Due to limited electricity on the island, hair dryers are not provided.

The itinerary and duration are subject to actual sailing conditions on the day. The ferry company reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made up to 4 days before the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 2-3 days (including the 3rd day) before the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made up to 1 day (including the 1st day) before the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the day of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
