Cross the charming McDonald's arch-shaped Xiaomen Bridge, admire the unique basalt landscape along the way, and paddle out to sea to await sunrise or sunset. Activity process

Paddling lessons and trial paddling practice on the beach

Sunrise Route: Launch into the water → Take a photo of the McDonald's Bridge → Wait for sunrise in the shallows and enjoy breakfast at sea → Return the same way or circle the island (depending on the tide conditions)

Sunset Route: Launch your boat → Take a photo of the McDonald's Bridge at Xiaomen → Paddle to Xiyu Island: Houhu Bay and Zicai Reef → Admire the magnificent basalt at Xiaomen Island Lighthouse → Enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea at sea

Travel Notes

- Xiaomen Island kayaking is available from approximately April to October.
- This trip covers a distance of approximately 4 kilometers (paddled with the current) and is recommended for those with basic physical fitness or outdoor experience. Children must be at least 6 years old and accompanied by an adult.
- This kayaking route (sunrise/sunset) does not pass by Xiaomen Island's famous Whale Cave. If you would like to visit the Whale Cave, we recommend the "Xiaomen Whale Cave Kayak and Sea Picnic Tour."
- This activity may involve getting wet, so please bring a change of clothes. Changes of clothes can be left in the base lobby, and valuables should be placed in a shared waterproof bag (one per boat).
- For those who wear glasses, it is recommended to wear contact lenses or, ideally, glasses straps. - This activity involves seasickness, so please ensure you get enough sleep the day before to ensure a quality experience.
- Photos taken during this activity will be shared on our website. Participants consent to their likeness being used during the activity and agree to its free sharing. Please inform us immediately on-site if you do not consent.
- This activity takes place in open waters. You must wear a life jacket at all times and follow the instructor's instructions. If you are unable to complete the activity due to personal reasons (e.g., physical condition), your trip will be considered forfeited and no refund will be given.
- Pre-trip notifications will be sent via email prior to departure; please check your member inbox.
- If the sea forecast indicates excessively rough seas, this trip will be canceled the day before.
- If it is determined after on-site check-in that the trip is unavailable, a scheduled trip (500 USD/person) will be offered instead, with the difference refunded after the trip. Alternatively, you can cancel the activity and receive a full refund.

The cost does not include:

Any expenses not specified in this itinerary, any self-funded expenses or any expenses incurred in connection with the itinerary.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 7 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 6th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the start date of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed a cancellation and will be handled in accordance with the above cancellation policy.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
