Roll up your sleeves and head to the intertidal zone to gather the ingredients you need, then create a unique seaweed dish unique to Heping Island. Capture every taste in your mind and pay tribute to the haenyeo!

Paired with green algae hand-collected from the intertidal zone, experience the local marine culture and life. With seaweed dumplings as the centerpiece, every bite is a taste of the sea. Beyond the senses of taste, let your eyes remember that it's not just the fishermen at sea who make their living from the sea, but also the haenyeo who gather their necessities along the shore.

"An island away from the world, yet never far from it" best describes Heping Island. Simply turn a corner and cross a 70-meter bridge, and you'll reach Heping Island from the bustling city. The island's coastline, ravaged by intense sea erosion and weathering, has shaped a variety of natural landscapes, creating a diverse array of unique rock formations, including sea platforms, tofu rocks, sea trenches, sea cliffs, weathered windows, wanren dung (a type of 'million-man pile'), senjojiki (a type of senjojiki), sea caves, and mushroom rocks. It serves as a natural classroom for both recreation and education.

In addition, Heping Island Park offers outdoor pools and a beach area for children and adults to swim, play in the water, and play in the sand. The intimate pool allows people to observe a variety of intertidal organisms. Minimal artificial facilities are used to reduce damage to nature, and this beautiful natural treasure is built with the heart to maintain the natural ecology.

Travel Notes

- This activity is the same price for both adults and children. Due to the slippery intertidal zone, for safety reasons, children must be 4 years old and older and must be accompanied by a parent.
- To preserve records, filming and photography will be conducted during the activity, which will be used for future educational promotional materials.
- Please wear a mask during indoor classroom activities to practice preventative measures.
- Non-slip shoes (sizes 18cm-29cm) will be provided, but sizes may be limited. If you already have non-slip shoes, please bring them first. Also, since we don't have non-slip shoes suitable for children aged 4-7, parents are asked to help their children prepare water-resistant shoes (no flip-flops).
- Please bring a water bottle, rain gear, and sunscreen (hat, long-sleeved shirt, long pants). Wearing clothing is recommended for sun protection, rather than applying sunscreen. Some ingredients in sunscreen can harm marine life. Let's be kind to the environment.
- Some lessons will be held outdoors. Please assess your own and your child's fitness level before registering to ensure your safety. - If you wish to swim in the park's saltwater pool after the event, please bring a change of clothing.
- If the event is canceled due to adverse weather, sea conditions, or force majeure the day before, please contact us by phone at least the day before and we will assist with rescheduling or refunding your fees. Thank you for your understanding!
- On the day of the event, if there is sudden heavy rain two hours before the event, with rainfall exceeding 5mm per hour, and the Central Weather Bureau forecast shows no signs of stopping, the event will be canceled. Please understand!

The cost includes:

The cost does not include:

Any other expenses not specified, personal expenses or any expenses arising from the trip.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 8 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-7 days (including the 7th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A 10% handling fee will be deducted from the booking fee before the refund. Alternatively, the participant can choose to reschedule the event, in which case no refund will be made.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
