Tour Overview
Wutai Shenshan Tribe is known as Wutai Township—the lily in the clouds. It is the primary settlement of the Rukai people in Taiwan. Due to low-density development, the area still retains its most impressive authentic Rukai stone houses. Through guided tours with local tribespeople, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the beauty of the Wutai tribe.
▲Wutai Township
Wutai Township in Pingtung is located in the Central Mountain Range, with an average altitude of over 1,000 meters. Its inhabitants are primarily Rukai people. Join the locals to slow down your usual pace and pick wild mountain vegetables, make jinafu, sample tribal delicacies, savor sacred mountain jade, and journey into the clouds to explore their homeland. Enjoy the relaxing mountain atmosphere and breathe in the warmth of nature, allowing you to truly experience a slow-paced travel experience.
▲ Linari, a Happy Majia Township
Linari, located in Majia Township, Pingtung County, was formerly known as the Good Tea Tribe. It is the home of the Makazayazaya tribe of the Paiwan people. In the Paiwan language, it means "tribe on the sloping hillside," and is often called Taiwan's version of Provence. Majia Township is nestled deep in the mountains. After the landslides caused by Typhoon Morakot in 2009 submerged the tribe, the government relocated them to their current location. With the assistance of World Vision, these permanent homes were built. In Linari, there's a saying: "Eat at Majia, live in Good Tea, and see the Great Community." The township is composed of wooden houses, each decorated with distinctive Majia Township Linari tribal language. There are also four churches of varying styles, creating a beautiful landscape. Through the warm hospitality of the host families and the various DIY workshops, visitors can deeply appreciate the beauty of Majia Township Linari tribal culture and become close friends and family.
