Recline on a custom-made, ultra-comfortable rafting ring and admire Maolin's precious circular hill formations, specially filmed by National Geographic Channel in Taiwan. Experience the Maolin River Rafting experience, a seasonally limited experience. The river circumnavigates the mountain in a 360-degree loop. The precious and unique 5-kilometer circular hill formations are right before your eyes, allowing you to admire the breathtaking scenery of Longtou Mountain, Shetou Mountain, and other hidden gems. ▲ Longtou Mountain
Longtou Mountain is a typical circular hill formation. In the past, flocks of eagles could often be seen circling the cliffs or soaring along the valley at dawn and dusk, earning it the name "Eagle Valley." The Zhuokou River's long-term impact on the fragile rock formations caused the river to gradually bend. The continuous erosion and accumulation of the river gradually formed the precious circular hill formations. From a distance, the rugged mountain resembles a dragon spitting out pearls, earning it the name Longtou Mountain. It has become a famous attraction and landmark in Maolin District.

▲ Flow-Thru Hill Geology
Flow-thru hills often occur in meandering terrain. This is caused by river water eroding fragile rock formations, gradually bending the river channel. As the river water continuously erodes the rock and deposits silt, the meander's curvature gradually widens. If the river floods, the meander neck is cut off, and the river changes course. The dry old river channel raises the land above the river surface, and the hills surrounded by the new and old river channels become "flow-thru hills."

Travel Notes

[Booking Instructions]
． The Kaohsiung Maolin River Rafting Experience is suitable for children aged 3 and over. Children aged 3-7 and weighing no more than 20 kg must travel with an adult on a shared lap. Children aged 7 and over may travel on their own, but a parent must accompany them.
． After booking, please complete the participant information on the order form, including personal insurance, height, weight, and foot length (barefoot length). Please enter in centimeters to facilitate equipment preparation.
． If you are a particularly large or petite participant, please inform customer service in advance.
[Group Information]
． A minimum of eight laps is required for the Kaohsiung Maolin River Rafting Tour (the number of participants on the lap is not counted). Trip confirmation will be made at least three days in advance. If the group cannot be completed due to insufficient numbers, the tour may be rescheduled, relocated, or cancelled with a refund.

After the registration deadline, if insufficient numbers are available, we will notify you of the rescheduling or full refund. Please pay attention to phone or email messages.

Please inform us if you have any past or current medical conditions, such as dizziness, arthritis, heart disease, pregnancy, childbirth within the past year, high blood pressure, major surgery, stroke, diabetes, or other medical conditions (if you have asthma, please bring your own medication). The company will make special arrangements based on your individual circumstances. Failure to inform us of any accidents will result in the company taking no legal responsibility.
[ Itinerary Information ]

To maintain the safety and quality of our Kaohsiung Maolin River Rafting experience, please be on time. Please note that if you are more than 30 minutes late, you will depart without waiting and will not be refunded.

The instructor will assist in taking photos of the activity and make them available for download online. Please inform us in advance if you are unable to upload them; otherwise, it will be deemed that you have consented to their publication.

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

There are no toilets or washrooms in the outdoor area. After the activity, changing tents will be provided on site for simple changing (no washrooms or hairdryers).

During the rafting activity, please follow the instructor's instructions. The company is not responsible for any unsafe behavior or errands caused by ignoring instructions.

Tour Pricing

The cost includes:

- Led by a professional instructor
- Full personal safety gear (specialized rafting ring, safety helmet, whitewater life jacket, cold weather clothing, river trekking shoes)
- Waterproof camera for full filming
- Activity insurance

The cost does not include:

Any expenses not specified in this activity, any self-funded expenses or any expenses incurred during the itinerary

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 32 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 7-31 days before the start of the trip (including the 31st day) will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-6 days before the start of the trip (including the 6th day) will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made on the day of the trip are not eligible for a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A 10% handling fee will be deducted for a refund. Alternatively, you can choose to reschedule your trip to a different date, in which case no refund will be charged.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled according to the cancellation policy above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
