To commemorate the contributions of the great musician Wu Jinhuai to Taiwanese folk music, his former residence in Liuying has undergone two years of restoration and is now open to the public as the "Wu Jinhuai Music Memorial Hall." His musical manuscripts, guitars, and related artifacts are on permanent display for future generations to admire and remember. The Wu Jinhuai Residence is a Fujian-style three-sided courtyard house with a mixed brick and wood structure. Its eaves are round columns with a stone-washed finish, and the ridges are decorated with flower and bird embroidery. It is a refined residence from the Japanese colonial period, and its wood carvings are particularly exquisite.

Renowned Taiwanese painter Liu Qixiang was born in Liuying in 1910. He was one of the few early Taiwanese artists to have studied in both Japan and France. His works were not only selected for the most representative Taiwanese art exhibitions during the Japanese colonial period, but he was also awarded the title of Senior Artist by the Ministry of Culture, thus establishing his indelible position in Taiwanese art history.
