Tour Overview

Escape the city crowds and head to the Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area in central Taiwan to enjoy the forests, crimson maples, waterfalls, and more

Visit Nanfeng Village, one of Taiwan’s three major butterfly valleys, and appreciate the ecological beauty of the Nanfeng community, including butterflies.

Aowanda was originally cultivated by indigenous peoples, so the surrounding area is home to numerous indigenous tribes, rich in the cultures of the Atayal, Seediq, and Bunun peoples. Visiting the nearby Meixi Tribe allows you to not only immerse yourself in Seediq culture, but also to wade in the stream, admire the butterflies that swarm the mountains, and enjoy a natural and ecological experience.

Experience contact with nature and try walking barefoot on the lush grasslands. Relax while picnicking and savor the delicious local ingredients. Wander through the forest, collecting fallen branches and leaves, and create your own floral face painting. Moved by the forest, write a letter to your future self, renewing your sense of purpose and motivation, and concluding this forest healing journey.

The maple and pine forests are the most representative areas, offering visitors a breathtaking and refreshing experience. Spectacular waterfalls, suspension bridges, and a natural environment surrounded by wildlife further enhance Aowanda's charm.
