▲Kenting National Forest Recreation Area
The high coral reefs in the Kenting National Forest Recreation Area, uplifted by plate tectonics, are a unique and rare sight in the world. Originally a marine garden of stony corals, calcareous algae, foraminifera, and shells, it was uplifted by tectonic plate movements 500,000 years ago, becoming a high-lying coral reef ecosystem visible on land. It boasts a rich ecosystem, monsoon rainforest, and limestone topography.

The Sheding Village community actively promotes ecological conservation, resulting in a rich natural ecosystem, including the rarely seen fluorescent mushroom, yellow swallowtail butterfly, and Tsuda's large-headed stick insect. The flora, fauna, geology, humanities, and landscape are all truly unique and well worth a visit.

▲ Houwan Community

Located on Kenting's west coast, Houwan is adjacent to the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium. It boasts a natural, crescent-shaped cape and a rich reef and intertidal zone, creating a picturesque setting. The calm and safe waters here are ideal for snorkeling and water activities like non-motorized boating, making kayaking and SUP (Supporting Uplifting) easy to get started with, even for beginners.

Travel Notes

- To ensure passenger safety and a quality trip, please adhere to the tour guide's instructions and refrain from leaving the group without permission. Due to considerations of personal fitness, safety, and the group's return time, the tour guide's instructions will prevail. Any unauthorized departure from the group, regardless of warning, will be the sole responsibility of any expenses and legal liability incurred.
- Children aged 3 and over, and 3-8 years old, must be accompanied by a parent, and those aged 80 and over should be accompanied by a family member.
- As the tour involves many activities in natural surroundings, please wear comfortable, lightweight clothing and non-slip shoes. Some trails can be slippery, so please be mindful of your steps and exercise caution.
- Transportation will primarily be by chartered nine-seater vehicle. Please meet at the designated location on the day of the tour on time. No refunds will be given if you become separated from the group or are unable to meet up due to personal reasons.
- Please bring sunscreen, mosquito repellent, rain gear, drinking water, and any other personal medications. - The itinerary may require minor adjustments to the itinerary or attractions depending on the tour schedule, weather conditions, or special circumstances.
- Activity Availability: If the tour cannot be completed due to insufficient participants, we will notify you before the tour to reschedule or provide a full refund. In the event of force majeure such as typhoons or earthquakes, the tour operator may request cancellation of the tour.
- Regarding Children Participating in Kayaking or SUP: Children aged 4-10 must be accompanied by a parent for kayaking; children under 4 are not permitted. Children must be at least 6 years old for SUP, and the instructor will determine whether children can participate based on the conditions.
- During nighttime nature observation, each animal must be photographed with flashlights no more than 5 times per group. Please refrain from grabbing animals or picking plants.
- To ensure that forest enthusiasts can cherish the land while minimizing impact on the environment, please adhere to Leave No Trace (LNT) guidelines: thorough planning and preparation, camping and walking in sustainable locations, proper waste disposal, preserving the natural landscape, minimizing the impact of fire, respecting wildlife, and being considerate of other users.
- Please wear long sleeves and long pants in all natural habitats, and avoid using perfumed skincare products and brightly colored clothing to avoid being attacked by bees.
- To prevent the spread of rabies, visitors are prohibited from bringing dogs, cats, and other mammals into the national forest recreation area.

Cancellations made 41 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 5% handling fee.

Cancellations made 31-40 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 10% handling fee.

Cancellations made 21-30 days (including the 30th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 20% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2-20 days (including the 20th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1 day prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2 days prior to the start of the trip will incur a 20% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1 day prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Refunds are not available on the start date of the trip.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Requests for rescheduling due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated during the event due to reasons beyond the organizer's control, no refund will be given.
