It's beech season at Taiping Mountain in Yilan! Take advantage of the autumnal leaves from October to November. Besides taking public transportation to Taiping Mountain, you can also book a private chartered car transfer in advance. Available in Yilan, Jiaoxi, and Luodong, you can skip the lines and enjoy a comfortable and beautiful day trip to the mountain's golden sea of trees.

- Highlights of Taiping Mountain Beech Season-
▲ The Beech Trail is 3.8km long one-way and requires a return trip. The original beech forest is located near the end of the trail, and you'll need to walk about 3.4km to see the golden leaves.
▲ Best viewing period: Generally speaking, the best time to see the autumnal leaves is from mid-October to mid-November. However, leaf conditions vary depending on the weather, so stay tuned to the Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area Facebook page for the latest updates!
▲ Fog is prone to occur in the afternoons in the high mountains, making it difficult to see the full view of the beech forest. Therefore, it's recommended to enter the trail before 11:00 AM. The round-trip hike takes approximately 3 hours. Please consider your physical strength and transportation time to ensure a comfortable journey.
▲ You can bring your own light snacks to enjoy along the trail, or purchase them at Cuifeng Mountain House (which has a restaurant, a canteen, and public restrooms) near the entrance of the Beech Trail.

Travel Notes

This shuttle service only provides round-trip transfers from a single location within the designated area to the Beech Trail on Victoria Peak. The estimated stop at the Beech Trail is approximately 3.5 hours, with no other stops along the way.

Please ensure you specify your pick-up location and your return drop-off location (this cannot exceed the original booking area, or you can purchase a cross-regional transfer to the city) when booking. Please provide the full name or address of each location. Vehicles will only be arranged after your order details are complete.

Children and infants require a seat. Please select the correct number of passengers when booking to facilitate vehicle selection and insurance arrangements. The company reserves the right to cancel the trip if a discrepancy is discovered on-site.

Transfer vehicles are primarily nine-seater (maximum 8 passengers; large luggage is not recommended). The actual vehicle dispatched will depend on the number of passengers. The driver's contact information will be updated in the pre-departure notification at least one day before departure. Please stay tuned for this information. Our fleet service is staffed by professional, licensed drivers to ensure a quality tour.

The yellowing of the beech leaves is a natural phenomenon and not controlled by humans. If the leaves do not appear to be as expected, we will still visit to enjoy the forest scenery. Please accept this and make a new reservation. Cancellations due to personal reasons will incur an administrative fee in accordance with the cancellation policy.

Entrance to the Taipingshan Forest Recreation Area requires a ticket, which is at your own expense. To promote environmental protection, we recommend purchasing e-tickets at Forest Fun for carbon savings and convenience.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 8 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-7 days (including the 7th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A 10% handling fee will be deducted from the booking fee before the refund. Alternatively, the participant can choose to reschedule the event, in which case no refund will be made.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
