▲ Eagle Hunting
Encircled by a century-old banyan tree, climb safely up the tree using ropes to find the eagle feeding its young. Upon reaching a slightly flatter, thicker trunk, rest for a moment and bask in the sense of accomplishment of climbing a tree from a distance.

▲ High Mountain Forest Base
Located in the coastal mountains along Provincial Highway 11, a small community of the Bunun people live here. The Bunun settlements here are called mountain tribes. They migrated across mountains and hills from the Central Mountain Range to the Coastal Mountain Range, living closely with the Amis people. They have become a Bunun tribe that can venture into the sea and understand Amis culture. The Mountain Forest Base offers a variety of forest exploration, adventure experiences, and cultural and ecological learning experiences, allowing every visitor to return to the embrace of nature and connect more deeply with their hearts.

Referred to as the most beautiful terraced rice fields along the Hualien coastline, the Xinshe Rice Terraces offer a different beauty in every season. Whether it's the lush green rice seedlings during planting or the golden waves of rice before harvest, the beauty is soothing against the backdrop of the blue sky and sea.

Travel Notes

Charter Information - Hualien chartered car only offers nine-seater seats (suitable for 5-8 people), not including a driver or large luggage. Professional, licensed drivers will provide attentive service throughout the trip.
- This tour requires a minimum of 6 people to form a group. Children and infants must occupy seats. Please select the correct number of passengers when booking to facilitate Hualien charter and insurance arrangements.
- Hualien chartered car day tours can be arranged for round-trip pick-up and drop-off at the designated location in Hualien City. Please enter the "pick-up location" in the participant information after booking. You will be dropped off at the "pick-up location" at the end of the tour. Please ensure you enter the full name or address of the pickup location to facilitate Hualien charter arrangements. If you need to adjust the "drop-off location," please inform customer service in advance. The itinerary will be adjusted based on the distance of the trip.
This tour offers a 9-hour Hualien charter service. The morning session can be combined with the "Eagle Climbing Experience." Please ensure you select the number of participants for the "Eagle Climbing Experience" when booking.

This tour does not include meals and other expenses. Excess charges will be incurred if the service exceeds 9 hours. These charges can be paid directly to the driver on-site.

Pre-trip information and contact information for the Hualien charter will be provided at least one day prior to departure. Please check your member inbox.

Please meet on time on the day of the activity. No refunds will be given if passengers are unable to meet up or are separated from the group due to personal reasons.

Activity Description - The Eagle Hunting activity is suitable for children aged 4 and above. It is led by qualified instructors and guides throughout the activity. All climbing equipment and gear has undergone safety inspections and is regularly maintained. As long as you follow the instructor's instructions, you can complete the activity safely. Travelers with safety concerns are advised not to participate.
- Please wear lightweight, stretchy clothing, preferably long pants; jeans are not recommended.
- Please wear hard-soled shoes that are non-slip, dirt-resistant, and have a good fit. Sandals are not recommended. If you wear sporty sandals, please wear socks. If you need to borrow rain boots from the base (limited sizes available), please bring your own socks.
- Please bring your own raincoat (essential). A lightweight hooded windbreaker is also acceptable. Raincoats will be worn during the activity in case of rain. It is recommended to bring an extra change of clothes for easy washing after the activity. Restroom facilities are available at the base.
- In the summer, it's recommended to wear a hat for sun protection. Please bring your own mosquito repellent. There are no black midges at the base, only common mosquitoes. Please bring your own baseball cap for the eagle climbing experience.
- Please bring your own drink containers; bottled water is available at the base.
- Photography is permitted within the base area, but video recording is prohibited once you enter the forest.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 8 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-7 days (including the 7th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A 10% handling fee will be deducted from the booking fee before the refund. Alternatively, the participant can choose to reschedule the event, in which case no refund will be made.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
