▲ Xiaozhuilu Historic Trail

Compared to the Zhuilu Historic Trail, Xiaozhuilu is a more relaxed miniature version, only 650 meters long and taking about 20 minutes one way. It offers views similar to the Zhuilu Cliffs, and there's a secret rope suspension bridge midway, making it akin to a tightrope walk in the jungle.

▲ Shakadang Trail

It's recommended to walk to the midpoint - Wujianwu. The round trip takes about 2-3 hours. The Shakadang Trail is a gentle and easy hike. Built during the late Japanese colonial period, it was originally known as the Mysterious Valley Trail. Along the way, you can admire the emerald green waters of the V-shaped canyon and the breathtaking cliffs of Taroko.

▲ Baiyang Trail
The trail is 2.1 kilometers long and takes about two hours round trip. At the end of the trail, you'll find the Water Curtain Cave, where mountain springs cascade down from the aquifers on the tunnel's roof, creating a unique waterfall. If you're planning to plunge into the Water Curtain Cave, don't forget to bring your own raincoat (and take your trash with you).

Located on the eastern section of the Central Cross-Island Highway, it's the heart of Taroko Gorge. With beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate, it's a popular scenic spot along the Central Cross-Island Highway. The Swallow's Mouth Trail stretches 480 meters from its end at Jinheng Bridge and takes about 30 minutes to complete. The trail offers breathtaking views of the canyon, potholes, springs, and Indian Chief Rock, making it a relaxing and easy hike.

▲ Jiuqu Cave
The trail is 700 meters long and takes about 40 minutes to complete, making it the most scenic section of the Taroko Gorge. The most remarkable and beautiful thing about Jiuqu Cave is that it has caves within caves, creating a sense of overlapping layers from afar. Due to severe rock wall collapse, the cave was closed in 2013 and subsequently renovated, with plans to reopen in the summer of 2019.
