Taiyan Tongxiao Tourist Park

The Tongxiao Refined Salt Factory has been in operation since 1975. Through continuous efforts to replace old equipment with new, maintain equipment, and research and develop production technologies, it continues to operate efficiently and fully meet market demand. However, with the growing momentum for international trade liberalization in recent years, Taiwan Salt Corporation (TSC) restructured in July 1995 and completed privatization in November 2003. To meet the challenges of privatization, the Tongxiao Refined Salt Factory has not only actively developed high-value-added related products, but has also diligently implemented improvements such as the addition and expansion of automated equipment, staff reduction, process improvement, and cost reduction. The goal is to maintain sustainable operations after privatization and continue to provide the highest quality and diverse salt products to the public nationwide.

In recent years, to develop tourism, the factory has developed recreational facilities and services such as the "Ocean Hot Spring Foot Bath," the "Salt Master - Susha Statue," and the "Exhibition and Sales Center." In 2011, the "Taiwan Salt Tongxiao Tourist Park" was established, which includes various hardware and software facilities such as the "Salt Pavilion", "Water Plaza", "Salt Village Inn", and "Japanese Garden Landscape".
