Give yourself some quiet time, close your eyes, listen carefully, and discover the unique nightlife of Keelung's Heping Island. This time, let's feel the heartbeat of the ocean with our hearts. And, when visiting Heping Island, don't miss the handmade charcoal-grilled "Chikura" (ちくわ) at Zhengbin Fishing Port. Pairing it with a bottle of Keelung's local beer is the perfect natural combination. The flavors of the food bring out the unique qualities of the craft beer and enhance its flavor.

Without the visually dominant, our senses of hearing and touch are amplified. Exploring the hidden intertidal zone at night adds a veil of mystery. Crabs feast with their claws, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and scorpions come out for a stroll, and fish sleep in the cracks of the rocks. These unexpected discoveries are truly memorable. The intertidal zone is vibrant at night and deserves careful exploration.

Keelung's [Jilong] beer, with its luminous color like black coffee, makes it impossible to guess what's in the bottle. The aroma makes you wonder if it's a single-origin coffee or a rye beer. Double-roasted Taiwanese hard red winter wheat ferments to a rich, mellow aroma. While the initial taste is a bit bitter, a subtle sweetness gradually permeates the palate after infusing it with Keelung Red Honey. The complex flavors of rye and honey blend seamlessly, awakening every cell on the tongue.

This evening event is available for group registration on other dates. Groups of 20 or more people are accepted (reservation required 8 days in advance). Groups are welcome!

Heping Island Park boasts a 20-million-year-old rock formation. Long-term erosion by sea and wind on the windward side has resulted in a diverse array of unusual rock formations, including sea-cut platforms, tofu rocks, sea trenches, sea cliffs, weathered windows, Thousand-Man Piles, Senjojiki, sea caves, and mushroom-shaped rocks. Heping Island Park also offers outdoor pools and a beach area for children and adults to enjoy swimming, playing in the water, and playing in the sand. The intimate pool allows people to observe a variety of intertidal organisms. Minimal artificial facilities are used to minimize damage to nature, fostering this beautiful natural treasure with a heart that preserves the natural ecology.

Travel Notes

- Groups must be at least 20 people, with a maximum of 30. If the group size is not reached, rescheduling or refunding are available.
- Due to the extensive outdoor activities and slippery intertidal zones, children under 7 are not recommended for safety reasons, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Please provide your vehicle number upon registration. Free overnight parking will be provided.
- This activity begins in the evening, and early admission is available to enjoy Heping Island Park's amenities: the saltwater pool, children's wading pool, and artificial beach. Park facilities close at 7:00 PM.
- For record keeping, filming and photography will be conducted during the activity, which will be used for future educational promotional purposes.
- If the activity is canceled due to a natural disaster or force majeure, please contact us by phone at least one day prior to the activity. We will assist with rescheduling or refunding. Thank you for your understanding!
- Please bring a flashlight, water bottle, and rain gear. - If you arrive early to use the park facilities, please be mindful of sun protection. We recommend covering your eyes with clothing instead of applying sunscreen. Some ingredients in sunscreen can be harmful to marine life. Let's be kind to the environment.

The cost includes:

- Park entrance fee
- Park insurance
- Venue rental fee
- Non-slip shoe rental fee
- Instructor fee
- One bottle of Hikari beer and one Hikari Yoshikoyaki (soft drinks will be provided for those under 18)

The cost does not include:

Any other expenses not specified, personal expenses or any expenses arising from the trip.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 8 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-7 days (including the 7th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A 10% handling fee will be deducted from the booking fee before the refund. Alternatively, the participant can choose to reschedule the event, in which case no refund will be made.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
