May to July is peak hydrangea season, with vibrant hydrangeas blooming across Taiwan. Hydrangeas, also known as purple hydrangeas, eight-flowered hydrangeas, and pink hydrangeas, are particularly renowned in Zhuzihu, Yangmingshan, northern Taiwan. In the early morning, the misty morning light permeates the valley, imbuing the century-old terraces of Zhuzihu with a mystical tranquility. Pink, white, sky blue, and purple blossoms bloom across the meticulously arranged terraces, creating a captivating spectacle of vibrant blossoms across these over 200-year-old fields.

Located in the Zhuzihu area of Yangmingshan, Cao Family Flower Fields boasts a 200-year history, with approximately two-thirds of this expansive 1,000-ping terraced field cultivated by the Cao family since the Qing Dynasty. After its transformation into a tourist flower farm, while some land remains for agricultural use, the remaining area is dedicated to a variety of flowers, including hydrangeas, impatiens, cherry blossoms, and cosmos. Every season, the magnificent sea of blossoms is a sight to behold. Visitors can not only pick seasonal flowers but also try out various flower creation experiences, such as creating small potted plant combinations, DIY bouquets, dried flower designs, and making limited-edition handmade flower cookies.
