Opened on October 30, 2006, the Kokonoe Yume Suspension Bridge is 390 meters long, 173 meters high, and 1.5 meters wide. It is Japan's longest suspension bridge by foot. From the Kokonoe Yume Suspension Bridge, you can admire the two waterfalls, "Otaki" and "Metaki." Beneath the Chikugo River lies the Naruko River valley and vast primeval forest. Stove Hell is one of these, and it's said that long ago, the custom of using the heat from the hell to prepare offerings at the spring and autumn festivals of Kamado Hachiman Shrine, the god of the gods, led to the name "Stove Hell."
