The Penghu Southern Four Islands boast the most complete subtropical coral reefs and diverse marine life. The most famous blue coral reef forest, known as the "Lavender Forest," is located on the eastern coast of Dongji Islet. Besides visiting the island to see the lighthouse and Japanese military relics, the breathtaking marine scenery is a must-see. Led by a professional canoe instructor, you can paddle into the stunning azure waters for snorkeling and stunning coral reef views.

Dongji Islet, also known as Dongji Island, was established as the Penghu Southern Four Islands National Park in 2014. Comprising Dongji Islet, Xiji Islet, Dongyuping Islet, and Xiyuping Islet, along with surrounding smaller islands and waters, the park boasts a rich marine ecosystem and lush coral reefs, making it a popular snorkeling spot. The renowned "Lavender Forest," a vast expanse of blue coral reef, is located in the waters east of Dongji Islet.

Travel Notes

[Meeting Instructions]
． The Penghu Dongji Island kayaking tour recommends children aged 8 and above, and participants aged 60 and below. Minors must be accompanied by their parents throughout the tour.
． The Penghu Dongji Island kayaking tour lasts 3 hours and does not require high physical fitness, making it suitable for kayaking beginners and families.
． If there are flight issues with the Penghu Dongji Island kayaking tour, the meeting time can be adjusted. Please indicate this in the "Remarks" section after booking to assist with arrangements.
[Meeting Instructions]
． During the Penghu Dongji Island kayaking tour, snorkeling will be arranged depending on sea conditions. In the event of rough seas or adverse sea conditions, the instructor reserves the right to cancel the snorkeling experience on-site for safety reasons.
． The paddle route may be adjusted on the day of the tour depending on wind and wave conditions. Any changes to the meeting (diving) location will be notified separately.
． The activity is organized on a group basis. Once the instructor and group members have left the shore, latecomers will not be allowed to join the tour, and no refunds will be given.

Water activities are subject to weather conditions. During the actual tour, the instructor may adjust the itinerary based on changes in wind and wave conditions. If sea conditions deteriorate, the tour may even be canceled mid-trip. Please refrain from participating if you cannot tolerate changes to the itinerary.

Please cooperate with the group during the activity. We cannot be held responsible for any accidents caused by arbitrarily leaving the group or ignoring warnings.

Tour Pricing

The cost includes:

- Led by a professional instructor
- Full equipment: two-person kayak, paddles, life jackets, masks, snorkels, and non-slip shoes
- Rinse with clean water
- Photographic documentation of the activity
- Full insurance

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 14 days before the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 8-13 days (including the 8th day) before the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1-7 days (including the 7th day) before the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

Cancellations made on the day of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued to the original payment method after deducting necessary expenses.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation in the event is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.

Saturday 7:30 AM Tainan Jiangjun Fishing Port → Dongji Islet
Sunday 3:30 PM Dongji Islet → Tainan Jiangjun Fishing Port
※Transportation from Tainan to Dongji: Depart from Tainan Jiangjun Port, board the "Shuangji Fuqi" (Shuangji Fortune) for a 1 hour and 10 minute round-trip cruise. Daily departures are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Check-in at 7:00 AM for a 7:30 AM departure. Return departures are at 3:30 PM for a 3:30 PM departure.

Penghu Round Trip:
Daily Magong → Dongji Island
Daily Dongji Island → Magong
※ The "Xinyang No. 18" ferry departs Magong - Dongyuping - Dongji at 9:00 AM daily and arrives at 11:30 AM. The Dongji to Magong route departs at 11:30 AM. (To participate in this trip, you must book a one-night stay at a local B&B and return the next day. Same-day round trips are not available.)
