The Nagasaki Kujukushima Aquarium, Kyushu, recreates the ocean scenes of the Kujukushima Islands in Nagasaki, Kyushu. The aquarium features a diverse array of natural marine life, including the "Kujukushima Bay Tank," a rare roofless aquarium in Japan. Illuminated by sunlight, visitors feel as if they were immersed in the ocean. The crystal-clear water and the shimmering waves create an unforgettable experience. In the Kujukushima Dolphin Pool, you can admire the adorable movements of energetic dolphins against the backdrop of the islands. Travel Notes

– Kujukushima Aquarium is open year-round from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with last admission at 5:30 PM.
– Infants aged 0-3 years old are free. Pearl diving experiences require an additional fee of JPY 600 per person, payable on-site.
– Free foreign language guides (Japanese, Chinese, English, and Korean) are available throughout the aquarium. Please request one at the information desk.
– You can take the pearls you retrieve home or have them processed into mobile phone pendants, but an additional processing fee will be paid on-site.
– In the event of closure due to adverse weather conditions such as typhoons or heavy snow, staff will notify you in advance and arrange a full refund.

Getting There

– From Fukuoka, take the JR Midori train to Hakata and get off at Sasebo Station. From there, walk one minute to the East Exit (Platform 6). The express bus takes approximately 18 minutes, while the regular city bus takes approximately 30 minutes.
