– About the attraction | Six-Day Hiroshima and Tottori's Stunning Cherry Blossom Tunnel –

▲ Kurayoshi Utsubuki Park

Designated as one of the "100 Most Famous Cherry Blossom Spots," it's a renowned cherry blossom spot in San'in. Legend has it that the gardens were created for Emperor Taisho's visit. Thousands of cherry trees and tens of thousands of azaleas are planted within. During peak bloom, the garden's walking paths burst into life, transforming the entire park into a sea of blossoms, a truly breathtaking spectacle.

▲ Miyajima – Itsukushima Shrine

Famous for its location in the sea, the shrine we see today was rebuilt by Taira no Kiyomori in 1168. Itsukushima Shrine enshrines the god of the sea. In addition to the main shrine, which houses the main deity, it also features a Noh stage and a long bridge. All buildings are connected by a nearly 300-meter-long vermilion corridor, decorated with carved beams and painted pillars at regular intervals, creating a magnificent and elegant atmosphere. A special gift is a maple leaf manju (steamed bun) per person!

▲ Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Site. Peace Memorial Park

The Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Site is the only building that survived the explosion. It remains a memorial to the atomic bomb and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. After World War II, a group led by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange designed the site as the Peace Memorial Park, which was completed in 1954.

▲Izumo Taisha Shrine

Famous for its wealth and marriage, Okuninushi no Mikoto is a shrine of Japan. Its vast and solemn grounds encompass the main shrine, the treasury, the worship hall, a bronze torii gate, and a treasure house. The main shrine, a 24-meter-tall wooden structure, is said to be Japan's oldest shrine architectural style and has been designated a National Treasure. Surrounded by the towering Yakumo Mountain, the main shrine offers a breathtaking view of a fairyland, a chance encounter with a deity.

▲Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter
Kurashiki was once a rice port, and the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter is a waterway formed by the ancient canal. During the Meiji era, a princess married into a wealthy local family. To appease her homesickness, the area was remodeled to resemble the streets of Edo. Both banks are lined with century-old houses, warehouses, and Western-style buildings, along with ten bluestone arch bridges. The riverbanks are lined with endless cherry blossoms and willow trees, their reflections on the Kurashiki River creating a beautiful scene.

▲Tottori Sand Dunes

Located in eastern Tottori Prefecture, the Tottori Sand Dunes stretch from Mount Shichi in the east to Cape Keta in the west. Approximately 16 kilometers long from east to west and 2.4 kilometers wide from north to south, they are Japan's largest sand dunes. These are a masterpiece of nature created over 100,000 years by volcanic ash that fell onto the mud and sand of the Sendo River, then battered by the winds and waves of the Sea of Japan. The dunes range from depressions up to 40 meters deep to hills as high as 50 meters. The dunes feature patterns called wind ripples, created by strong winds, and curtains of sand that slide down the dune surface like an avalanche. The magnificent sand dunes are in constant flux.

▲Onomichi Senkoji Temple

It is said to have been built in 806, the first year of the Daidō era. The crimson main hall is also known as the Red Hall. Every New Year's Eve, the bells here resound, making it a famous bell tower and a symbol of the Onomichi area. The massive rock next to the main hall is also known as "Tama no Iwa." Legend has it that a jewel once placed on the rock shone brilliantly, serving as a guide for ships, hence its name. The park, which stretches from the summit of Senkoji Temple to the middle of the Seto Inland Sea, stands approximately 100 meters above the surface of the Seto Inland Sea. From here, you can overlook the entire cityscape and the islands floating in the Seto Inland Sea. In spring, you can also admire the beautiful cherry blossoms on the mountaintops.
