Enjoy a Tokyo tour with an English-speaking guide

Take a cruise on the Sumida River and journey back to the heyday of Edo

In one day, explore Tokyo's most popular tourist attractions with an English-speaking guide, exploring the arts, history, and shopping. This morning, you'll journey from Tokyo Tower, a famous landmark, to the historic Meiji Jingu Shrine, and then to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, the site of the Imperial Palace's harem, a site often depicted in Japanese Taiga dramas. In the afternoon, take a cruise on the Sumida River to visit the renowned Kaminarimon Gate at Sensō-ji Temple, and conclude the day with a shopping trip to the nearby Nakamise-dori.

– About the Attractions | Tokyo Attractions Day Bus Tour –

▲Tokyo Tower
Located in downtown Tokyo, Tokyo Tower stands 333 meters tall, its exterior modeled after the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It is not only a crucial symbol of Japan's postwar economic resurgence, but also held the title of Japan's tallest structure since its completion in 1958, a position it held until the completion of Tokyo Skytree. Besides being a renowned tourist attraction, it also serves as a signal transmission station for Japanese broadcasting.

▲Meiji Jingu Shrine

The Meiji Jingu Shrine, built to enshrine Emperor Meiji and Empress Dowager Shoken, is divided into the Inner and Outer Gardens. The Inner Gardens include the Main Hall, the Treasure Hall, the Kagura Hall, the Imperial Garden, and Japan's largest wooden torii gate, creating a tranquil and secluded setting. The Outer Gardens, with its rows of ginkgo trees lining the paths, sports facilities such as the Shotoku Memorial Museum, the Meiji Jingu Baseball Stadium, and the Meiji Kinenkan, a venue for weddings and other ceremonies, offer a relaxing and enjoyable area for the public.

▲The Imperial Palace East Gardens

The Imperial Palace East Gardens are a must-see in Tokyo. They were once home to the Honmaru, Ninomaru, and Sannomaru of Edo Castle and are now renovated as the Imperial Palace's gardens. The gardens offer a rich natural environment, including vast forests and beautiful ponds filled with koi. Furthermore, visitors can see numerous historical sites, including facilities related to the imperial family and the ruins of Edo Castle. Visitors can also admire the moat and various gates, immersing themselves in the rich historical atmosphere.

▲Sumida River Cruise
Take a short cruise on the Sumida River and admire the skyscrapers and other symbols of modern urban prosperity. As the boat passes over 20 bridges of diverse architectural styles, you'll experience the splendor of Tokyo, a truly unique experience.

▲Sensō-ji Temple
Tokyo's oldest temple. Its most famous gate, Kaminarimon, houses the wind god and thunder god on either side, respectively. It's said to be the birthplace of folk beliefs and culture during the Edo period, and pilgrims still flock to it today. Nakamise-dori, the street running from Kaminarimon to Hozomon, is home to many souvenirs and traditional Japanese sweets.
