Shenkeng, known as the "Hometown of Tofu," boasts a century-old legendary tofu culture and serves as the distribution center for the southern section of the Tamlane Historic Trail. Upon entering Shenkeng Old Street, you'll be greeted by century-old tangerine and camphor trees, along with quaint red-brick arcades and the original thatched adobe houses. Shenkeng is known for its four treasures: white tofu, green bamboo shoots, black pork, and Wenshan Baozhong tea. In recent years, it's also featured the "Duofu Banquet," a feast known as "Eighteen Ways to Eat Tofu." The "Three Lives Happiness Journey" offers the "Shenkeng Tofu Duofu Bun," featuring a Duofu meal for two, tofu mochi, tofu ice cream, and more. Jingtong
The "Police Sky Lantern Pavilion" in Jingtongkeng, embracing Pingxi's sky lantern culture, features a 9-meter-tall sky lantern-shaped glass curtain wall, illuminated by nearly 200,000 LED lights. Visitors can write a wish on a card on the second floor before enjoying a seven-minute sky lantern show. At Jingtong Train Station, experience the 80-year-old wooden station building and the nearby Hongbao Miners' Canteen. Bamboo prayer tubes hang along the railway tracks, inscribed with wishes from travelers around the world.
