– About Attractions | Seven-Day Tour of New Zealand's South Island –

▲ Treetop Walk

Located near Hokitika, the Treetop Walk is a long skywalk nestled among tall trees in the tropical rainforests of New Zealand's South Island. Besides enjoying the phytoncides, don't forget to look up and observe the birds soaring through the sky. You can spot a wide variety of bird species here. Wander through the canopy and overlook the pristine jungle and coastline.

▲Haast Pass
Recognized as one of the world's ten most beautiful roads, the Haast Pass, a route steeped in remnants of the Ice Age, connects Aspiring National Park and Westland National Park and is a prime example of the South Island's breathtaking landscapes. The Haast River, originally a glacial channel, carved a straight path through the valley, creating a myriad of ever-changing scenery.

▲Wanaka
When it comes to New Zealand's resorts, Wanaka, considered a paradise even by locals, is a must-see destination. It lacks the bustle of Queenstown, the opulence of Christchurch, and its lack of artificial embellishments. Instead, it offers a breathtaking tapestry of interwoven mountains and water. While not as renowned as neighboring Queenstown, once you've witnessed its beauty, your heart will be captivated.

▲Queenstown
Queenstown is a beautiful town nestled between the Southern Alps and a picturesque city nestled between the mountains and the water. In Queenstown, take in the famous Skyline Gondola, which takes you from Queenstown to the summit of Bob's Peak, offering breathtaking views of Queenstown along the way. Cruise aboard the century-old TSS steamship on Lake Wakatipu. Originally used primarily for freight transport, the Queenstown steamship plied the waters around Lake Wakatipu. As Queenstown transitioned from an agricultural economy to a tourism-focused economy, the sound of the steamship's whistle remains unwavering, captivating visitors and continuing to play a central role in Lake Wakatipu. In the evening, enjoy authentic New Zealand farm BBQ at Walter Peak High Country Farm. The spectacular farm show is guaranteed to amaze you!

▲Milford Sound
Milford Sound is like a New Zealand signature. Hidden in the northernmost reaches of Fiordland National Park, this breathtakingly beautiful fjord has earned it a World Heritage status and earned the nickname "The Eighth Wonder of the World." Head to Te Anau, the South Island's largest lake. Surrounded by the Alps, Te Anau, untouched by overdevelopment, maintains its pristine natural beauty. The lake and mountains offer a pristine, pure beauty that evokes a sense of tranquility.

▲Dunedin
Dunedin, located in the southeast of New Zealand's South Island, is the second largest city in the South Island after Christchurch. Home to many early Scottish settlers, Dunedin has become a haven for exotic locales, earning it the nickname "New Zealand's Edinburgh." Here, you can experience a strong Scottish atmosphere, and its artistic streets are a treasure trove of historical sites worth exploring.

▲Oamaru Blue Penguin Colony
When visiting this wildlife wonderland on New Zealand's South Island, you can't miss the famous Blue Penguin Parade. The adorable sight of flocks of tiny blue penguins darting from the sea in search of their home is truly captivating. There are only two Blue Penguin Conservation Centers in the world: one in Melbourne and the other in Oamaru on New Zealand's South Island. This classic New Zealand experience is unmissable!

Christchurch
Christchurch is the largest town in New Zealand's South Island. It was the first city established in New Zealand by Royal Charter in July 1856. Town planning experts at the time envisioned Christchurch as a political and economic center integrating education, arts, science, government, religion, history, and recreational activities. Although two major earthquakes in 2010 and 2011 nearly destroyed Christchurch, the painstaking reconstruction continues, and the gradually recovering city is slowly revealing a new look that blends history and modernity.
