– About the Attractions | Four-Day North Island In-Depth Tour Package –

▲ Waitomo Caves
One of the most highly recommended New Zealand itineraries is a visit to the Glowworm Caves. Their dazzling glowworm caves, reminiscent of a starry sky, have even been called the "Ninth Wonder of the World." Discovered in 1887 by a Maori chief and a British official, the Waitomo Caves boast over 125 years of tourism history and are considered one of the world's most magical places. Whether or not these claims are exaggerated, the Waitomo Caves are a must-see when visiting New Zealand.

Huka Falls

Located six kilometers north of Taupo, Huka Falls is formed where the Waikato River's wide riverbed suddenly converges into a narrow gorge. The Waikato River plunges down a 12-meter-high fault, generating a massive 230 tons of water per second. The immense force of the water jets and cascades down, creating a foaming waterfall. Locals call the falls Huka, meaning "foam." Under the dazzling sunlight, the turquoise water and white foam soar into the air, often accompanied by rainbows.

▲Te Puia Maori Cultural Park

Located within a natural geothermal field, Te Puia Maori Cultural Park boasts over 500 geothermal features. Here, you can experience the pohutu, the largest geyser in the Southern Hemisphere, gaze at boiling mud pools, and catch a glimpse of New Zealand's national bird, the rare kiwi. You can also watch skilled Maori carvers and weavers crafting their wares, listen to Maori guides from the Te Puia tribe share stories passed down by their ancestors, and even attend the fierce and martial haka dance at your own expense.

▲Rainbow Springs

Established in 1932, Rainbow Springs Park covers nine hectares and is surrounded by lush forests. It's a delightful and satisfying experience for both children and adults, and even Prince Harry has lingered there. There's also a good chance of spotting New Zealand's national treasures, including the kiwi and kea.

Auckland Museum

Located in the heart of Auckland Park, the Auckland Museum, founded in 1852, houses a collection of historical and ethnic artifacts. With its rich collection of exhibits, this historical treasure is a must-see for anyone interested in Auckland's history and culture, or the Maori people. The museum also features traditional Maori song and dance performances each morning and afternoon.
