Tour Overview

Catch shrimp and clams with a net – experience the charm of a fishing village not found in the city

Enjoy the seafood! Fresh and juicy shrimps, water chestnuts and clams are waiting for you!

Check out Yunlin's most beautiful hidden gem: the Quwu Detention Pond

Follow the footsteps of experts and experience rural life in Yunlin. A slow-paced getaway that will completely transform your imagination of Yunlin! Come to Yunlin, a city rich in agricultural and fishery products, and catch shrimp at the "Hao Xia Jiong Nan Club," dive for clams at the "Horse-Tiger Clam Theme Pavilion," and savor the fresh, plump seafood for a unique fishing village experience you won't find in the city. You can also savor "Gan Ku Ren" cuisine, combining seasonal ingredients with local produce. And don't miss the charming, hidden gem of the Juwu Detention Pond, where you'll encounter breathtaking wetland scenery.

- Attraction Introduction-
▲ Hao Xia Jiong Nan Club
Eight eighth-graders returned home to establish the "Hao Xia Jiong Nan Club," driven by a desire to restore the vitality of Yunlin's rural areas. Leader A Zheng, a dedicated aquaculture team, fosters a natural environment for the growth of fish and shrimp, avoiding groundwater extraction and pesticide use. This non-toxic farming method truly produces healthy, naturally tender shrimp. Guided tours of the farming area allow you to experience the joy of catching shrimp with nets and feast on these deliciously fresh shrimp!

▲ Quwu Detention Pond

Referred to as Yunlin's Little Sun Moon Lake, the detention pond has become a new tourist attraction at Kouhu Cape. Typhoon-induced seawater backflow unexpectedly created a vast wetland landscape pond, covering approximately 100 hectares. This pond not only serves as a water storage facility, effectively addressing flooding in the Kouhu area, but also fosters a rich ecological ecosystem within the forests and wetlands. Stroll along the lakeside wooden boardwalks and observation decks, admiring the birds flying and nesting is truly a delight!

▲ Jinhu Leisure Agricultural Area

Located in Yunlin's coastal region, Kouhu Township boasts abundant water resources. Its mirror-like surface earned it the name "Golden Lake." Beyond its beautiful scenery and ecologically rich wetland environment, Kouhu boasts a vibrant agricultural and fishery industry, making it a leading source of Taiwanese food. Combining Kouhu Township's agricultural and fishery industries, scenic resources, and cultural heritage, this area offers not only coastal and wetland scenery but also diverse industrial activities, creating a leisurely agricultural and fishery park distinct from the mountainous and plains landscapes.

▲ Horseshoe Clam Theme Pavilion
Horseshoe clams, known in Chinese as "red tree clams," grow alongside mangroves in the intertidal zone and feed on algae. This relaxing and engaging theme pavilion not only provides information on various emerging commercial shellfish aquaculture activities but also offers fun hands-on classes like "Clam Touching and Pants Washing" and handicraft workshops. You can also sample horseshoe clams in the theme pavilion to fully experience the fishing village atmosphere. These large, delicious clams are so juicy and flavorful that you'll want to lick your fingers and savor them endlessly.
