Come enjoy a unique rural experience on a beautiful spring day in March! Follow the farm owner through the vineyards, listen to him share stories about his family, and enjoy a romantic lunch in the vineyard. All ingredients are sourced from Xinshe and the farm itself, and the chef prepares them on-site, giving you a feast for both the palate and the eyes! Although March isn't grape season, enjoying a private chef's lunch beneath the green grapes is quite romantic.

Very few orchards are willing to open loquats for harvest, primarily because loquats are so delicate. They are harvested only once a year, requiring extensive cultivation. They must be picked when the fruit is ripe. If they are picked before they are fully ripe, their color and sweetness will remain. This creates significant sales pressure and a strict shelf life, making it difficult to lower the price.
Furthermore, each cluster of loquats may contain between seven and eight loquats, each ripening at a different time. This means that for each bag opened, only one or two may be ripe. After the ripe fruits are picked, they need to be re-baged, resulting in a very high labor cost.

Located in the Xin Community, Xinfeng Farm grows grapes, loquats, sweet peaches, and persimmons. The owner, known as "Chief," utilizes natural cultivation in a greenhouse and bagging, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation while producing plump, sweet fruits. Besides being a year-round destination for fruit picking, lunch under the grape vines is especially recommended. From September to November, enjoying lunch and afternoon tea amidst the vibrant purple vineyards is a truly romantic experience!

▲ Flower Beam Steel Bridge
The Houfeng Cycling Trail's signature "Flower Beam Steel Bridge" was built during the Japanese colonial era (Meiji 41) and completed in 1908. Its substructure is a concrete block stone caisson, and its bridge abutments are constructed of brick and angular stone, making it a rare piece of transportation artifact. Its imposing presence is immediately apparent from a distance. The "Flower Beam Steel Bridge" is also a scenic spot at the southernmost end of the Taiwan Railway's Old Mountain Line. Spanning 382 meters, each pair of piers features a set of steel trusses, commonly known as flower beams, creating a masterpiece of engineering that combines strength and beauty. The Houfeng Cycling Trail, renovated from the former Taiwan Railway's Old Mountain Line, offers a diverse landscape, including lush green fields and tranquil rural scenery, as well as the majestic Flower Beam Steel Bridge spanning the vast valley of the Dajia River.
