Penguin Island Nature Reserve is currently the world's largest wild penguin sanctuary, home to over 30,000 penguins. Every evening after sunset, a surprise appears: tiny penguins wrestle in the waves, their beaks full of food to take back to their nests, their wobbly walks adorably! Photography and videoing are prohibited during the penguin parade. To prevent artificial light from irritating the penguins' eyes, the island implements a light control, with only a few low-wattage incandescent bulbs along the coast. The number of penguin colonies fluctuates annually due to environmental factors, and the number of penguins varies between spring and summer, and autumn and winter.

Travel Notes

- If the minimum number of participants is less than 4, a cancellation email will be sent 3 days prior to departure.
- The meeting time on the website is for reference only. We will notify you of the meeting time via email the night before departure. Please ensure you provide your correct email address when booking. Please ensure your phone is connected and check your email and text message inbox the day before departure. The latest information received the night before will be considered final.
- The bus departs on time. Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes prior to departure and adhere to the meeting time provided by the tour guide between each leg. Latecomers will not be able to continue the tour or join the rest of the trip, and no refund will be given.
- This tour does not include meals. The tour guide will meet you at a restaurant near the attraction. Guests with special dietary requirements, such as vegetarians, are advised to bring their own meals to avoid potential problems with local restaurant options.
- Australian law recommends that children under 7 years old use a safety seat. Local tour operators are unable to provide these, so please bring your own. If you wish to bring a child safety seat or stroller, please inform the local travel agent of the number of children in the reservation notes so they can accommodate them based on vehicle space. If your child is seated in a regular seat, please ensure your caregiver fastens their seatbelt and assumes all risks.
- For safety reasons, each passenger must be assigned a seat. Infants under 2 years old are exempt from the seat fee but must pay the basic occupancy fee. Please ensure you inform the number of passengers and their ages when booking.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 8 days prior to the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 4-7 days (including the 7th day) prior to the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 3 days (including the 3rd day) prior to the start of the trip will not receive a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A 10% handling fee will be deducted from the booking fee before the refund. Alternatively, the participant can choose to reschedule the event, in which case no refund will be made.

Rescheduling requests due to personal reasons will be deemed cancellations and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined above.

If participation is terminated due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
