– Children aged 0-4 years old who do not use a bus seat may ride free of charge, but must be seated on a parent's lap. For children requiring a bus seat, please book the child option and the child rate will apply. Dinner is not included. Please note that most restaurants in Takayama will be closed upon return.
– Due to high traffic or road conditions at the locations visited on the day, the order of the itinerary or arrival time may be changed. We and related parties will not cover any additional expenses, such as airfare, accommodation, meals, or taxi fares, resulting from these changes.
– After visiting each attraction, please be sure to return to the meeting point early to avoid delays. The bus will depart on time as scheduled.
– After booking, the itinerary displayed on the website is final. No final itinerary will be sent separately.
– This tour may include guests from other travel agencies.
– This tour includes the nighttime illuminations of Gassho-style village. The view from the observatory is not available.
– This is a self-guided tour, so please check in at the meeting point on your own.
– Please complete the check-in procedures before boarding the bus. Check-in is expected to be crowded, so please allow time for arrival at the check-in counter.
– When checking in, please present your pre-printed reservation confirmation. Check-in via the reservation confirmation screen on your mobile phone is not possible.
– Check-in hours: 9:00 AM - 3:25 PM. Upon check-in, you will be given a bus ticket with your bus number, a participation badge, an itinerary, and a written document stating the return bus time and precautions. A map is included on the document (available in English, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese).
– Please have your ticket and badge ready when boarding the bus. If you lose your ticket or badge, you will not be allowed to board. Please keep them safe to avoid loss. Lost tickets and badges will not be replaced.
–Please keep your badge visible from the start of the tour in Takayama until the return destination so the bus attendant can identify you.
–If you arrive after the check-in deadline of 3:25 PM or are late and miss the 3:40 PM bus, it will be considered a cancellation. In this case, your seat may be offered to another guest. Please be sure to arrive at the meeting point on time.
–Bus seats are assigned by the company. Please note that guests in the same group may not be able to sit next to each other. Seat assignments are not possible. Please note: You cannot get on or off the bus during the day. Requests made on the day of the tour will not be accepted.
–This tour has a Japanese-speaking bus attendant. However, the tour guide will not speak English or other foreign languages. Please note that the guide will be in Japanese only. – The facilities you plan to visit are not barrier-free. Those with limited mobility must be accompanied by a caregiver or family member.
– From January to February, Shirakawa-go experiences snowfall, making the ground slippery and extremely cold. Please dress warmly and wear a winter coat and comfortable, non-slip shoes. Temperatures can drop below freezing, so be sure to bring gloves, a hat, a scarf, and other cold-weather gear. Cell phones and digital cameras drain quickly due to the cold weather, so it's recommended to charge batteries beforehand. Please note: Gassho-style houses are flammable, so smoking is prohibited. Please take any store-bought trash with you or dispose of it in the trash cans at the store where you purchased it. The site is privately owned, so entering private homes and gardens is strictly prohibited, except for the open viewing area.
– The lighting event is scheduled for 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The Shirakawa-go Illumination Committee may change the lighting event schedule without prior notice. Please understand that this is subject to change without prior notice.
