Hualien's wonderland is now open to the public! Surrounded by thousands of acres of forest, the Cilamitay tribe, home to sky rice, preserves traditional knowledge and techniques to maintain ecological balance. Guided by a local tribesman, experience the breathtaking scenery of mountain-high terraced rice fields, explore the tranquility of century-old canals, sample organically grown harami rice, and experience a new way of life. To maintain a balance between ecology, community, and tourism, this activity is by limited reservation.

Cilamitay is located in Fengnan Community, Fuli Township, Hualien County. In the Amis language, the name means "big tree roots." It is said that early tribes migrated here, feeling too far from their farmland, and saw maple trees with roots large enough to serve as bridges. Locals call it Cilamitay. In addition to being registered as a "Cilamitay Cultural Landscape Area" by the Hualien County Government, it has also been recognized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization as one of the "Top 100 Green Destinations in the World."

Travel Notes

- Children under 5 years old on this tour will only be charged the Funbar administrative insurance fee; meals are not included.
- Participants must provide their own transportation, as the activities require short distances between attractions and are not accessible on foot. A car is recommended.
- Due to the remote location of the Jilamidae Tribe and limited resources, vegetarian meals can only be provided when a minimum of 4 people are present. Ingredients must be prepared in advance. Refunds will not be given for cancellations or changes to the number of participants on the day of or before the tour.
- There is only a grocery store within the tribe, so please gather your personal belongings before meeting up.
- The Jilamidae Tribe area is a designated cultural landscape by the Cultural Affairs Bureau. Please respect the locals and contribute to the preservation of the landscape. Reservations are required in advance. The terraced fields and canals are privately owned. Entering without permission is prohibited. Violators will be held responsible.
- In the event of force majeure such as weather, the Jilamidae Tribe may adjust its activities accordingly. We will strive to provide an unforgettable experience!
- Pre-trip precautions and contact information will be announced before departure; please check your member inbox.

- Please meet on time on the day of the activity. No refunds will be given if a passenger is separated from the group or cannot meet up due to personal reasons.
- Activity Completion: If the group cannot be completed due to insufficient number of participants, you will be notified before departure to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Cancellation Clauses

Cancellations made 14 days before the start of the trip will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made 10-13 days (including the 10th day) before the start of the trip will incur a 30% handling fee.

Cancellations made 7-9 days (including the 7th day) before the start of the trip will incur a 50% handling fee.

Cancellations made 4-6 days (including the 4th day) before the start of the trip will incur a 60% handling fee.

Cancellations made 2-3 days (including the 2nd day) before the start of the trip will incur a 70% handling fee.

Cancellations made 1 day before the start of the trip will incur an 80% handling fee.

Cancellations made on the start day of the trip are not eligible for a refund.

If the event is affected by force majeure (e.g., typhoon warnings, heavy rain alerts, etc.), the organizer will determine whether to cancel the event. A refund will be issued after deducting a 10% handling fee. Alternatively, you can choose to reschedule your event, in which case no payment will be deducted.

If a request to reschedule is made due to personal reasons, it will be deemed a cancellation and will be handled in accordance with the cancellation policy above.

If you cancel your participation during the event due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, no refund will be given.
