- Hiking Route Introduction -

▲ Yushan Front Peak
Yushan Front Peak is ranked #69 on the 100 Great Mountains, at an elevation of 3,239 meters. Known as Xingao Front Mountain during the Japanese colonial period, it is a high point in the Yushan Mountain Range, nestled among the surrounding Yushan peaks, guarding the main peak. The first section is gentle and easy. After the fork at 2.7 kilometers, a gravel section, also known as the Stone Falls Section, is steeper and more treacherous, offering a full experience of the steep ascent. However, the short hike is both tiring and exhilarating, making it a perfect first 100 Great Mountains climb!

Batongguan Ancient Trail
The Batongguan Ancient Trail can be divided into the Qing Batongguan Trail and the Japanese Batongguan Trail. The current Batongguan Trail, maintained by the Forestry Bureau, is relatively easy to walk, offering numerous scenic views along the way. Famous attractions include the "Father and Son Cliff," "Yunlong Waterfall," "Lele," "Duiguan," and the Batongguan Grassland. However, there are currently several landslides after Yunlong Waterfall, so this tour will cover the 4K mark at Yunlong Waterfall and then turn back.
